This store did order and recieve the advertised [redacted] product. They did have to reorder additional product because of unexpected sales volume. It was the July 4th sales week and the jars had a instant cents off coupon in which the stores...

were not made aware from the buyers. This item was not a regular item but a special buy in.this store should have had plenty of product at the beginning of the sales event.I have gone over the special buy ordering process with the team. I do reccommend that if a customer doesn't see the sales item in the store to ask a Manager to help them find it or to take down their name and phone number and we will get that item from another store. In this case if the customer would go to the office and identify themselves to the manager we will give the customer 3 free jars of [redacted] for this inconveience.I appreciate the customer bringing this issue to my attention so that I can correct this problem.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As I said in my complaint, I was there the first day of the add between 9 to 9:30 the days the adds started. I also noted that I did ask the cashier who contacted someone else, and they just said, we are out with no offer of anything else. This is not the only time this happened in this store. They have advertised other name brand products at great prices and not had the product.

Review: The store is horribly managed, the cashiers stand there talking about each other to customers and one girl was smoking an e-cigarette while ringing me up! The food is outdated, ice cream is freezer burned and the meat packages from where the chicken is smells like old rotten blood. It is disgusting, I was terrified to use any of the food when I got home because everything smelled like old blood and dead animal; even after I washed my hands 3 times. It is evident that the meat department DOES NOT clean that section EVER! They keep hand sanitizer at their registers to use when people purchase the meat because it smells so bad. I marked it as a health issue because if that is getting on people's hands then it is spreading to other people, via their cart, touching their children, etc. I will be also calling the Department of Agriculture on them for the poor and horrible smelling quality of meat.Desired Settlement: Someone needs to step in and clean the place up correctly. Make them go through their food and take out the bad things. Clean up the meat department before they kill someone from a bacterial virus or worse. Clean up the employees or hire more professional ones. The store is great for people on a budget but it is not safe.

I entered the store around 6:00pm on December 31, 2011. After entering the store I realized I would needed a shopping cart. As I started to go back outside to get a cart I was ordered by store security to come to him. The officer demanded to see what was in my pockets. Initially I refused knowing I had done nothing. The officer then became belligerent threatening me with physical violence if I did not comply. I should have refused just to see if he would carry out his threat and forcibly conduct his search. If he had I feel I would have had a lawsuit against you, the company and the security guard for an illegal search and assault. Instead, to defuse the situation, I emptied my pockets showing I had stolen nothing. I then went to report the incident to the store manager. No one took my complaint seriously. I asked for the store manager who never identified himself. I finally left WITHOUT MAKING THE PURCHASE CAME FOR. (went to Heinens)I am bring this situation to your attention because Im not sure you know this is how your customers are being treated and Im sure you would not condone this kind of behavior from your employees. Save-A-Lot has obviously lost me (and anyone I can convince not to shop at any of your stores) as a customer forever. My business is insignificant in terms of corporate revenue or profit, but I think you would agree that if Save-A-Lot stores continue treating customers in this manner it will tarnish the brand image. I dont think Save-A-Lot wants the reputation of offering discounts only if you are willing to be the victim intrusive behavior of untrained employees. In closing I would like to suggest Save-A-Lot establish training courses for the security team on how to handle situations like mine. I really got the feeling that the security officer felt he was doing what the company expected of him (humiliating customers). I will never shop at any Save-A-Lot again, but maybe if you start to take some of these complaints seriously and put customer service first the business will grow and become the company I think you envision.
