Thank you for your feedback. We would like to address your concern. We will be in a better position to do so if we can see your receipt. Please return to the store or contact customer support at *** for further assistance and follow up

The customer's original contact to us was made through Facebook. We had no way to speak to him about this, so we sent a message through Facebook asking him to call us so that we can make this right for him. The store manager of our store in Sunnyvale then contacted us to say that the coupon he was...

trying to use was not for the right item. To make him happy, they had to do an override to give him the discount. He was not happy that he had to wait, but the store was very apologetic. We will have the store manager reach out to him again. Thank you,[redacted]Customer Support DepartmentLucky Supermarkets

I am rejecting this response because: I did not purchase the corn chips for $2.50 - instead I had to go back into the store to find the $2.00 brand.   I do not have the receipt.  Still no commitment to a policy change banning the deceptive $2 for advertising.  This is a waste of time because Lucky's is not committing to change their policy, just deflecting by acting like this is a one time thing rather than systematic rip-off of consumers.

Tell us why here...
We appreciate this situation being brought to our attention.  The exact date of purchase was not provided therefore this matter was researched to the best of our ability based on the information provided in the complaint.  The customer complained that he was charged...

$2.50 for an item on sale 2 for $4.00.
After notification of the customer's complaint the store checked the display immediately.  There were two signs found advertising particular brands of snack products and tortilla Chips.   One sign read 2 for $4.00 and for different items the second sign read 2 for $5.00.  The store confirmed that the cost to purchase one of these advertised items should have been $2.00 or $2.50 respectively.
Further when an offer requires the minimum purchase of multiple items for qualification of a sale price it would be noted on the display and any signage as well.
We appreciate the customer's patronage and invite him to bring his receipt to the store and give the store the opportunity to review and correct as necessary.Thank you.

Attention: [redacted] - Resolution Specialist
Ms. [redacted],
Save Mart Supermarkets has no record of Mr. [redacted] purchasing a Verizon Prepaid Card. We have attached a copy of the Verizon agreement, which clearly notes a Mobile Web...

capable phone required and that the card is not refundable, returnable or exchangeable and has no cash value.
Thank you.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Attempt is being made to send a copy of the SAVEMARTSUPERMARKETS, [redacted] Cashier: [redacted], Clerk# [redacted] RECEIPT indicating a VRZN GNRC $15-$100 25.00 charge processed on 07/14/15. This was received with the Verizon card (a copy of which is attached). This card and receipt was received, when a TELEPHONE CALLING CARD was requested of the cashier, while paying for groceries at Save Mart. This receipt indicates our credit card was charged $25.00 by Save Mart Supermarkets for this Verizon Prepaid Card.
It is not a TELEPHONE CALLING CARD as requested of the cashier, but is a card for Verizon Wireless prepaid services. This was indicated to [redacted] when it was returned to Save Mart, approximately 4 hours after purchase, and the return of mis-represented merchandise was not accepted.

Attention: [redacted] - Resolution Specialist
Dear Ms. [redacted]:
We have been in touch with Mr. [redacted] to try and arrange a time for him to return the "pre-paid card" to the store for a $25.00 refund. At which time he let me know that he believes that American Express has stopped payment to the store for this purchase. He doesn't seem very happy about going to the store. I provided him with dates/times and the names of two contact people at the store. Not sure how to make Mr. [redacted] happy. What will be the next [redacted] if indeed American Express does not honor the charge. This seems like a no win for the store.
Please advise how you would like us to further handle, I believe Mr. [redacted] is waiting to hear from the Revdex.com.
Thank you.

The company issued a refund in exchange for the card. The issue has now been resolved.

Review: Every time I shop at this store and have to check out with [redacted], She REFUSES to accept my coupons.Today in the produce department I got a coupon from an organic salad mix. It was save $1.00 on two of there items. I selected two items and completed the rest of my shopping. When I checked out [redacted] would not let me use the coupon. "she said it doesn't match" I asked how that was possible when I took the coupon directly from the item,I also asked, Why she is the only cashier that refuses to accept coupons she said it doesn't match. So since she had already bagged my items in my shopping bag, I removed the item from my bag and said you can keep your items and I will take my bag and drive the extra half a mile to Safeway.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Irene needs customer service training or at the least learn how to redeem coupons.

Review: Lucky's consistently posts signs around their stores stating "2 for $xx.xx" and I made a point a while ago of asking one of the clerks "How much is the price for one" since I don't make it a habit of carrying a magnifying glass. The clerk told me not to worry, it's always half. I was suspicious but went along with it until recently buying some Tostada Chips advertised at 2 for $4.00. Well sure enough when I went to checkout with one, it rang up $2.50. I was furious because I consider this systematic rip-off. The signs attract many people to buy but they don't realize at check-out that they're not getting the price they think. At the very least, the signs should say in the same size text "One for xx, two for xx." Lucky's has been getting away with this for a very long time since this is not the first time I complained. Usually they have one of their managers call me. This is not about the staff or managers and I am not at all interested in sympathy or apologies. I want the signs changed permanently. I feel the prices in Lucky's are high enough anyway. I only believe in shopping in honest stores that treat the public respectfully and Lucky's is not meeting my criteria for shopping in their stores.Desired Settlement: Lucky's needs to be honest about their prices and not try to fool or trick people into paying more. All signs in their store and advertisements need to state clearly the 2 for price and the 1 for price and the 1 for price needs to be just as obvious as the 1 for price. Change all the signs and don't sneak this practice back after the heat wears off.
