I sometimes take reviews with a grain of salt and I'm usually nervous about taking the lowest bid. Simar's quote was 22% less than the next.
I was really pleased to discover not only was he cheaper but his business ethics proved to be outstanding. He and his crew, all new Canadians, were eager to please and knew their trade. I enjoyed the experience and don't hesitate to recommend him.
Simar and his crew just completed the replacement of our roof, and we could not be happier. He and his workers are very courteous and professional, and the job was completed on time and on budget. We have an older home that badly needed a new roof. We knew that our roof was leaking around our skylight and chimney. When the old roof was removed Simar identified where the leaks were occurring, and he suggested some solutions to the problem areas. After consulting with us he performed some custom work with sheet metal around our chimneys and asphalt roofing material to our skylight to ensure a leak free roof. Save More Roofing did an excellent job on replacing the roof on our house. They stripped the old torch-on, and installed shingles. It looks significantly better and the job was performed quickly and efficiently by a very pleasant crew. Simar and his team were friendly and worked hard to complete the work. Based on an advise from my neighbor who had tried them, I contracted Save More Roofing to replace my 22+ Years old cedar roof. Simar was very helpful in explaining the conversion process and thorough in his work. One day during the conversion, it rained very heavily that I was sure the temporary tarp will not hold the rain off and my house will be damaged. I contacted Simar with my concern and he assured me that my house's roof is very well protected. Sure enough, it rained like that 3 days in a row and not a single drop penetrated the covers.
The job was done within the promised schedule (a part from the 3-day delay because of the rain) and I am happy with the results.

Though he ran out of materials and had to finish a few days later we had a chance to see that the days between with rain showed no leaks. I had a zinc strip installed and Simar fixed the flashings around my furnace and fireplace pipes. The whole job was done by a method called torch on which saved me getting a whole new roof and came with a 5 year warranty on labour. I was impressed with how fast the job got completed and the total bill was manageable. I am thinking of having a new roof installed on my sunroom by Save More roofing.
