I have talked to Ivet, my staff, refering the dayMiss [redacted] daughter carried in black bags of clothes and miss [redacted] helped by setting the clothes on the counter and instructed Ivet to dry clean every things.Ivet have been with Save On the last years, understand English perfectly well and would not have went against Miss [redacted] request if she wanted to machine wash her item that day. We dry clean about 80% of the clothes we received in dailyWe have a few options in our store: dry clean, laundry, press only and hand washCustomers are to read their labels and instruct us what they want then we will charge and sort as suchEvery customer is differentAs an example of that day, miss [redacted] had a leather skirt and Ivet explained to her that it required leather cleaning and the price is different ($for leather verses $for a fabric skirt and 2-weeks verses day return) which miss [redacted] agreed, no problem. This was sorted and charged because the leather material was obvious to Ivet. I have been in the dry cleaning business the last yearsI would say more than 90% of machine washable fabric are dry cleanable if not, it is the customers responsibility to read and care for their clothesWe are a dry cleaning store, which only fitting with our policy is that we dry clean every things UNLESS OTHERWISE INSTRUCTEDOur policy also included that we will not be responsible for lost buttons, damage buttons, glued item, beads, elastic bands due to the laundering, dry cleaning and pressing process. If miss [redacted] have read her label, also known the letters were iron on instead of embroidered and ask what cleaning process we would recommended, this would not have happenI have sewn on many patches for scout, martial art, police uniforms because customers known that by gluing these patches on, they will fall off not just in the dry cleaning process but also in dryer cycles.

I am rejecting this response because: My daughter and I delivered our clothes to Save On Cleaners for the first time on February 22, 2016, for cleaning We did not state that all items should be dry-cleaned We relied on the professionals (the dry cleaners staff) to determine the correct process to use for cleaning our clothes We were not informed that we needed to separate the dry cleaning clothes from those that needed to be washed It is not our fault that the professional staff did not read the cleaning instructions on the label of the sweatshirt that clearly states that is should be washedInstead of following the instructions they decided to dry-clean the sweatshirt Since the professional staff decided to disregard the manufacturer's instructions, and ruined the sweatshirt when they dry-cleaned it; I request that they reimbursement me $for the cost of the sweatshirt.

I am rejecting this response because:I instructed the staff that I had several items that needed to be washed and others dry cleaned.  The store policy to dry clean all my garments instead of washing the items that were clearly labeled to wash is not my fault or the manufacture.  Therefore, I should be reimbursed $59 for the cost of the item.  The total cost to replace the item is more than $59 since I have to drive over 150 miles to the University of the Pacific to replace the item.

Review: I dropped off a number of shirts to be cleaned and pressed April 9th. Upon pick-up they were one shrit short. The reviewed their video and agreed that they were one shirt short. They said they will look for it and call me. They did not call back. I went in again and had to document again the lost shirt. They said they would have the manager call me. The manager did not. I went in again and they said I must complete a claim form. However, they refused to give me a claim form as they said the manager has to approve giving me a claim form. I asked that the manager call me. Manager did not call. I went in again the manager did not leave instructions to leave me a claim form.

If they every give me a claim form I will have to have them process it when?

Then go buy the shirt

Then have them press it

then go back to pick it up again

Please do the math and calculate how many visits all of this is together. This is not a rhetorical questions (please show me how many visits you think this will take from the beginnig of dropping of the orginial laundry to me getting a pressed shirt) Your response should show this math. A lot of work? How about how many time I have been trying to resolve this. Look at the beginning; they agreed they have lost my shirt.

Claim 462914-2 [redacted] paid $7.80 claim amount 105.27

Note: the Revdex.com site doesn't let me bo past the additional details page with details entered.Desired Settlement: I do not see an end with them. I have provided them the shirt size and type and the store is accross the street from them [redacted]. They should go and buy the shirt and press it and let me know by calling me for me to pick it up. In addition, they should refund me the cost of cleaning and pressing the original shirt.

Review: I brought an Ann Taylor interview jacket to be cleaned at Save On Cleaners in Rocklin, CA because it had a couple dirty spots on the arms. When I dropped it off the girl commented on what good of a condition it was in for being used. She said the pockets were a little shiny but that was because it had been dry cleaned before. I picked up the jacket and noticed that they had pressed it so that the inseams were showing down the front of the coat, 1 stripe on each front-side of the coat. I told them I couldn't wear the coat to my interview, but asked them to redo it & remove those lines. When I went back the second time, the lines were lighter, but still there. At that point I told the girl I believed the coat was damaged because I couldn't wear it in public with the 2 lines down the front. The owner contacted me the next day and informed me that it was a "manufacturer defect" and refused to acknowledge that I can't wear the coat. She refused to refund my money and stated that the coat is not damaged.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money I paid to clean the coat and a replacement refund for the cost of the coat. I visited that place 2 more times than necessary and will have to return a third time to pick up my damaged coat, which the owner said, "if I want it to come and get it."

Business

Response:

We received the jacket to dry clean and press as ordered. Dry clean was done and is not the factor in the complaint. After the dry clean process, jacket was put on the form finisher and finish with about 5 to 10 seconds of steam, jacket was removed and after final inspection was bag and done. In order for the line in the complaint not to show, the only way to steam this jacket was to steam the 2 layers separately and the construction of the jacket prevent this to happen. The lines in question was from the layers of jacket fabric, facing fabric and interfacing and we do not feel this was our fault. If there is any further question, please contact me at ###-###-####, Please leave a message and I will contact you right back.

Response:

I have read the business's response but I am still upset about the coat that I paid money for and paid money to get it cleaned. If this company knows that this could be an issue why wasn't I warned before I had it cleaned? If I was told of the possibility that the seams would show I would have simply took a cloth to it. Instead they took my money and damaged my jacket. I have since picked it up but can't wear it due to the pressing of seams showing through.

Review: On February 22, 2016, I paid in full for my clothes to be dry cleaned and launder by Save On Cleaners, located at [redacted]. When I returned to pick them up on March 8, 2014, the staff informed me that the lettering on my daughter’s [redacted] Alumni sweatshirt had been melted off during the dry cleaning process. When I asked why was the sweatshirt dry-cleaned instead of washed, I was told that an error was made when my clothes were sorted for cleaning. The instruction on the label to wash the garment was ignored because they noticed that some of the letters on the garment were sewed on and they assumed that the all the letters were sewed on. They acknowledged their mistake and offered to sew the letters that were retrieved from the dryer back onto the garment. Since several of the letters melted in the dryer, I refused their offered and requested payment for the replacement cost of the sweatshirt. When the seamstress asked me how much did the sweatshirt cost, I placed my phone on speaker and called the University to ask the exact cost of the sweatshirt. When the staff person in the University bookstore said $59. 00 including taxes, the seamstress refused to reimbursement me for the sweatshirt that they ruined!

Since staff at the cleaners acknowledged their mistake for dry cleaning the sweatshirt instead of following the instruction on the label of the garment, I should be reimbursed for the cost to replace the sweatshirt that they ruined. I explained to the staff that I only wanted the replacement cost of the sweatshirt that my daughter had only worn a couple of times and was in excellent condition when I brought it in for laundering. Furthermore, the actual replacement cost is more than $59.00 since I will have to drive over 175 miles to University to purchase a new alumni sweatshirt.Desired Settlement: To receive $59.00 for the cost to replace the sweatshirt.

I do not feel that I was responsible when the letters (which were glued on) fell off in the dry cleaning process. I have talked to Ivet, my staff, refering the day. Initially I had a good experience, however they misplaced my suit jacket for almost a month and failed to return phone calls or provide updates. Once the jacket was located the owner offered a refund and store credit but lied and failed to follow through on that offer. Horrible customer service and management. If someone makes a promise they should follow through. From the outset the communication was abysmal and non existent.
