Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have received your correspondance regarding the message you received from Mark DC [redacted] , owner of "Saved from the Grave" Since the matter is NOT SETTLED, I again contact you in response to that message re: UNSATISFACTORY BODY AND PAINT WORK on my son's Saab 9- The Total Cost of this project was $6,($1,"more than" the agreed price) which we DID NOT AUTHORIZE & only found out about the day my son went to pick up and pay for his car w/the "agreed upon" CASH-IN-HAND Mark told him it was "due to extra work"? My son is a full-time college student at SUNY Oswego and an UNEXPECTED & UNAUTHORIZED cost of any amount is devistating to him! Even so, for Mark to allow the release of the car from his property he insisted the Bill be paid in its entirety, therefore, my wife & I incurred the extra cost of $1,and our son is doing his best to pay us back in a timely manner When we returned home that day after picking up the car my son stood and admired it parked in the driveway with the sun shining on the new paint job He was so proud of "BULLET" (his car) who APPEARED to look brand new and SUPPOSEDLY rust free with newly welded metal hidden under the PROFESSIONAL paint job done at a REPUTABLE restoration shop! Only months later we noticed rust coming through the new paint job! The rust was coming through IN THE SAME SPOTS we had "paid dearly" to have removed and repaired before being painted and it was now also noticeable that the "trim-pieces" were only taped over and not removed before painting either! My son, totally upset & disheartened, immediately reached out to Mark anxious to make arrangements to show him the rusted areas Unfortunately, Mark showed total disinterest with his concerns? Numerous calls made and messages left for Mark at "Saved from the Grave" FINALLY did pay off & he allowed my son to bring the car back to the shop for him to inspect The day my son brought the car to the shop for Mark to look at, Mark's son (also an employee) was present and surprisingly SIDED W/MY SON re: the "LACK OF PREP" and "CORNERS CUT" on the prioject?! In any case, Mark agreed to allow my son to contact him again IN A MONTH to drop the car back off to "Saved from the Grave" when he, Mark, would ADDRESS & CORRECT the issues That phone call my son made (per/Mark's request) DID NOT turn out the way Mark had previously promised Instead, Mark's response to my son's call was "HE WAS UNWILLING" to honor his promise and stand behind his work He also added he was suddenly "Going out of Business"? My son & I originally met Mark DC [redacted] (in 2007?) at his rented booth (promoting his car restoration business in Camden, NY) at the Syracuse Nationals Car Show at the NYS Fairgrounds where we were both entrigued by his appreciation and long-time love for vehicle restorations Now we seek only the $6,that my son paid Mark "IN-FULL" for the Saab 9-project "gone bad" Current Estimates (running almost Double the amount paid to Mark) to FIX Mark's work before STARTING FROM SCRATCH again are available upon request Thank you for your consideration in this unfortunate matter I anxiously await your reply Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have received your correspondance regarding the message you received from Mark D. C[redacted], owner of "Saved from the Grave".  Since the matter is NOT SETTLED, I again contact you in response to that message re: UNSATISFACTORY BODY AND PAINT WORK on my son's 2000 Saab 9-5.  The Total Cost of this project was $6,000 ($1,000. "more than" the agreed price) which we DID NOT AUTHORIZE & only found out about the day my son went to pick up and pay for his car w/the "agreed upon" CASH-IN-HAND.  Mark told him it was "due to extra work"?  My son is a full-time college student at SUNY Oswego and an UNEXPECTED & UNAUTHORIZED cost of any amount is devistating to him!  Even so, for Mark to allow the release of the car from his property he insisted the Bill be paid in its entirety, therefore, my wife & I incurred the extra cost of $1,000. and our son is doing his best to pay us back in a timely manner.

Onlyreason it took so long for me to meet with customers was because they were unable to come induring business hours. So, when I was able to, I made arrangements after business hours to meetwith customer. On that day, [redacted] Jr. came to my shop after hours being very disrespectful anddemanding and insisting the door jams were supposed to be painted and also issues with the paintlines. The paint lines, the customer is referring too, were discussed at the time of the laborestimate and 1was asked to do what I could without having to disassemble the vehicle and stripdown because that would've put them well beyond their budget.
