This customer needs a $part and to pay for someone to install if they can't do it themselves Anyone who can strip a wire can install it She insisted that I come install it myself but only when she was at home even though her husband appears to work from there house To stop the endless complaints I agreed to come by when I was in the area Since California and many other areas of the country are in a drought and we manufacture a water conservation product we are extremely busy I work days a week from am to pm Ms [redacted] has berated me and accused me of many things including not taking enough pride in our products She is right, I have not taken enough pride in our products They are great products and the one in her house performs exactly as stated on our website 2% to 3% of homes need an additional $part (doesn't even cover our costs) Our products work exactly as stated and I take a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am the "self described inventor" of these products And now she wants me to pay a plumber to remove a perfectly good system and return her the full price for a "used" system I will not do that because I take pride in what we do and refuse to not be compensated for the work and products that are in perfectly good working order I am sure that this will not be the last time than an attorney threatens us and takes advantage of the free service that the Revdex.com offers to intercede on her behalf There will be no more responses from us How much time would she have saved if she paid for the part (she hasn't) and hired someone to install it (less than $50)

Our company policy does not allow us to comment on intellectual property issues This customer has reversed engineered one of our systems and then offered his solution to us Due to potential legal action no no further comments will be made However we do wonder why if our system did not work why would he reverse engineer it?

Dear ***, Thank you for taking my call today and making suggestions regarding my July 15, complaint on Faster Hot Water / Saves You Energy At this time I consider my issue with Faster Hot Water satisfactorily resolvedI would like to request that the Revdex.com so notes this in Faster Hot Water's file and, if possible, on the websiteI would appreciate a note back confirming my request

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The vendor’s response does not address the detail I provided in my initial complaint to Revdex.com He misrepresents the communications we had (all of which I had to initiate over a months-long and ultimately futile wait for him to honor the promises he made to me) He ignores our request that he refund some portion of the materialsWe had to pay a licensed plumber to carefully remove them and set them aside in anticipation of a reasonable resolution of this fiasco We believe we were being more than patient and more than fair in our requested resolution of this dispute The reputable plumbing company who removed [redacted] ’s system and replace it with an effective system had never seen the type of system [redacted] bragged about having invented and installed at our house The reputable plumbing company installed the type of system compatible with our Noritz tankless water heater to replace [redacted] ’s FasterHotWater pump, to our increased and duplicative expense The new device performs as anticipated Contrary to [redacted] ’s representation to you that a “$part” was all we needed to make his bizarre system work and that he supposedly told us “anyone could do it”, he unequivocally stated to me on more than one occasion after we notified him he had created new water heater problems and did not solve the one we hired him to remedy, the “fix” he acknowledged we needed was one that, quote: “only I can install because I have not trained anyone else to do it yet.” He never suggested or offered the mysterious part for us to attempt a repair to his unsatisfactory new installation Even if he had, why should we be expected to accept such a solution to his product and installation deficiencies when we had paid him in full for a specific project any reputable professional would have guaranteed? I called him the day after his installation about our observed concerns, as stated in my original complaint We have all his materials in pristine condition waiting for his communication regarding the amount of the refund any decent businessman would name and commit to providing before I hand over to him repossession of his product to foist on someone else I registered this complaint with the Revdex.com as a wronged consumer [redacted] ’s irrelevant allusion to my prior career betrays a hostile animosity he apparently offers as some sort of delusional excuse for his shoddy practicesThanks for trying, but I have to ask: Is this the best you can do to protect the public from this guy? Is this the best you can do to facilitate our recovery of some portion of the materials cost we could apply towards the expenses we incurred by paying twice for the same home improvement, not to mention the aggravation of the two months of enduring the malfunction of [redacted] ’s device? Please record this incident in your records as an UNSATISFACTORY resolution of a complaint against the Saves You Energy company and the FasterHotWater product shilled by the smooth talking, unprofessional [redacted] Run from this company and this product! -- [redacted] L***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Mr*** comments about me "reverse engineering" one of his systems is baseless and absurdI did everything I could to help him find a solution to allow his product to work correctly, which it NEVER did Only after months of trying various options he offered and later when he started ignoring me for several weeks, I returned what he sold me and asked for a refund since it never worked properly and he was no longer trying to find a solution At that point, he started accusing me of stealing his intellectual property which is ludicrousAt that point I did start looking for another solution that would meet my needs and found another product that works fineTrying to be helpful, I did tell him that and said I'd be happy to share that information if he was interestedThis product that I found is widely available (I purchased it at Home Depot) and involved no "reverse engineering." It's a simple plug and play type system that has nothing to do with Mr***'s product which did NOT workIt's a shame that Mr*** has chosen this path instead of trying to understand how to improve his product and deliver a better solution to his customers

Our policy is to respond to a customer’s questions and concerns in a business-like
manner Name calling and threats and requesting we perform work for free
makes it impossible to satisfy this customer
The anonymity of the internet and the Revdex.com allow
customers to feel they can say anything they want to anyone they want in any
manner they want. Requesting that we
install equipment that has not been paid for with no charge for labor in a hostile
environment after hours is not reasonable
Requesting a refund for equipment that has not been returned and that
was installed in February (it is now June) is not reasonable
In addition, please note that because a plumber has not seen our
technology before hardly means that it is not quality equipment. It only means that he or she has not seen it
before And hiring a plumber does not make them a qualified plumber, it just means that they are a plumber you hiredOver plumbers nationwide use our equipment on a regular basis Considering there over 1,plumbers in San Diego county it is not a surprise that of them would not be familiar with every product on the ***et
We are sorry that this customer is not one of our thousands of
satisfied customers but it is not for lack of trying on our part
Unless there is something new to discuss this is our last response
in this matter

We acknowledge that there will be no resolution to this complaint
satisfactory to the customer His behavior is dishonest and disingenuous
as he continues to seek attention.
The customer stated that he "did everything he could" to
help us find the solution to his problem What he does not say is that
the equipment performed exactly as advertised and that he asked for a custom
solution to a problem he had at his house.
And now he has a solution to the problem without paying for the time and
effort that we wasted on him in our ongoing attempt to provide unmatched
customer service.
There are some customers that can't be pleased no matter how much is
done for them But we draw the line at intellectual property
infringement
The customer stated that after months of "trying various
options" he suddenly was able to go down to Home Depot and buy what he
needed off the shelf to recreate what we had taught him to do And then
he "offered to share the information" of how he reversed engineered
our products while he was "trying to be helpful" Helpful would
be paying for the time and effort we expended teaching him how to solve his
problem
If he already knew how to solve the problem why did he purchase
our product at a much higher price than he claims it cost him at Home
Depot? Because he did not know how to
solve the problem until he got his hands on one of our products
Please note that the solution that he claims to have come up with
on his own was rejected by our development people years ago due to a flaw that
the “customer” will experience down the road.
Attempting to reverse engineer products isn’t always as simple and
straight forward as people might think
The customer wasted a lot of our company's time and now is
claiming that he came up with a solution all by himself His dishonesty
apparently knows no end
We will no longer respond to any comments made by this
customer. He has wasted enough of our
time and the Revdex.com offers him a forum where he can remain anonymous and continue
to get attention and not be held responsible for his actions. But that is the reality of the internet
today. People can say or do anything they
want without consequences

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The vendor’s response does not address the detail I provided in my initial complaint to Revdex.com.  He misrepresents the communications we had (all of which I had to initiate over a months-long and ultimately futile wait for him to honor the promises he made to me).  He ignores our request that he refund some portion of the materials. We had to pay a licensed plumber to carefully remove them and set them aside in anticipation of a reasonable resolution of this fiasco.  We believe we were being more than patient and more than fair in our requested resolution of this dispute.  The reputable plumbing company who removed [redacted]’s system and replace it with an effective system had never seen the type of system [redacted] bragged about having invented and installed at our house.  The reputable plumbing company installed the type of system compatible with our Noritz tankless water heater to replace [redacted]’s FasterHotWater pump, to our increased and duplicative expense.  The new device performs as anticipated.

Contrary to [redacted]’s representation to you that a “$40 part” was all we needed to make his bizarre system work and that he supposedly told us “anyone could do it”, he unequivocally stated to me on more than one occasion after we notified him he had created new water heater problems and did not solve the one we hired him to remedy, the “fix” he acknowledged we needed was one that, quote:  “only I can install because I have not trained anyone else to do it yet.”  He never suggested or offered the mysterious part for us to attempt a repair to his unsatisfactory new installation.  Even if he had, why should we be expected to accept such a solution to his product and installation deficiencies when we had paid him in full for a specific project any reputable professional would have guaranteed?  I called him the day after his installation about our observed concerns, as stated in my original complaint.  We have all his materials in pristine condition waiting for his communication regarding the amount of the refund any decent businessman would name and commit to providing before I hand over to him repossession of his product to foist on someone else.

Dear [redacted],
Thank you for taking my call today and making suggestions regarding my July 15, 2015 complaint on Faster Hot Water / Saves You Energy.  At this time I consider my issue with Faster Hot Water satisfactorily resolved. I would like to request that the Revdex.com so notes this in Faster Hot Water's file and, if possible, on the website.
I would appreciate a note back confirming my request.

This customer needs a $40 part and to pay for someone to install if they can't do it themselves.  Anyone who can strip a wire can install it.

She insisted that I come install it myself but only when she was at home even though her husband appears to work from...

there house.

To stop the endless complaints I agreed to come by when I was in the area.  Since California and many other areas of the country are in a drought and we manufacture a water conservation product we are extremely busy.  I work 7 days a week from 7 am to 7 pm.

Ms. [redacted] has berated me and accused me of many things including not taking enough pride in our products.  She is right, I have not taken enough pride in our products.  They are great products and the one in her house performs exactly as stated on our website.  2% to 3% of homes need an additional $40 part (doesn't even cover our costs).  Our products work exactly as stated and I take a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am the "self described inventor" of these products.

And now she wants me to pay a plumber to remove a perfectly good system and return her the full price for a "used" system.  I will not do that because I take pride in what we do and refuse to not be compensated for the work and products that are in perfectly good working order.

I am sure that this will not be the last time than an attorney threatens us and takes advantage of the free service that the Revdex.com offers to intercede on her behalf.  There will be no more responses from us.  How much time would she have saved if she paid for the part (she hasn't) and hired someone to install it (less than $50).

Review: [redacted], business owner and self-described inventor of the FasterHotWater circulating pump for tankless hot water heaters, installed his product at our home on 2/26/14. We had several issues with the product performance from the beginning. I contacted him four times, twice by email and twice by phone, beginning 2/27/14. He never responded to our emails, but said twice on the phone that the "fix" was simple, but only he could do it. He never set a return service date, because he is "so busy" and "would call" us. He has never initiated any contact with us. He had also promised to email an invoice and receipt for the full payment we made to him by check when he completed the installation. He never did so,despite a couple of reminders. Fed up with being put off, three days ago we asked him in an email to please call us for a time to remove his pump and restore our water system to the way he found it before he performed his work, because we had lost confidence in him and cannot wait longer to finish this project. I called [redacted] mid-day today to set a time for that, because as usual, he never responded to the email. The upshot of that conversation was that he pretends this situation is somehow all our fault, and he angrily told me to call a plumber and pay that person to take it out. Before hanging up on me, he ever-so-graciously told me to "[redacted]off."Desired Settlement: We will take [redacted]'s advice to have a plumber remove his device, because it doesn't work right, his promises are worthless, and we do not want such a volatile and unreliable person on our property. As I stated in Monday's email to him, we expect some kind of refund for the pump. We did not ask for any labor cost back. But now that we have to pay a plumber to take it out, we want him to pay that cost, too. We also want a receipt for the money we paid him on 2/26/14.

Review: On 25 Nov 2013, I ordered a device from FasterHotWater.com, which was supposed to be a device that helps people get hot water faster in their homes without wasting it down the drain. I paid $177.00 for his Dedicated Recirc System - Controller Only product offering. The following week, the item was received and installed per the supplied directions. Unfortunately, the device didnt work properly. I called the seller, Mr [redacted], and he told me he would send me a solution to resolve the problem for an additional $40 which I paid on 9 Dec 2013. A few weeks later, the second item arrived and was installed according to the sellers directions. This fix failed to remedy the situation. I again contacted the seller and he reported that he would seek another solution. I received this second fix on Dec 21, 2013. This also failed to remedy the problem and I communicated this to the seller. On 26 Dec 2013, I received another e-mail from the seller saying he found a solution and would get it to me soon. On 3 Jan 2014, the seller advised the third fix would be shipped within the week. On 24 Jan, the seller advised that the third fix didnt fully resolve the issue and hed keep working the issue. On 2 Feb, I sent an e-mail to the seller asking for an update and received NO response. On 18 Feb, I sent the seller an e-mail advising him that since he was no longer communicating with me and his product never worked properly, that I was returning everything he shipped and was requesting a refund. I received NO response. On February 19, I returned shipped all equipment provided and requested a refund since the item and subsequent fixes never worked properly. The USPS Tracking confirmed delivery to the seller on 21 Feb. Since no refund was issued, I contacted the seller by e-mail on 27 Feb 2014 and received a response from Mr. [redacted] that I wasnt eligible for a refund, that the problem was basically my fault, and that I stole his intellectual property.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the purchase price of the two items ($177 + $40) $217.00

Response:

Our company policy does not allow us to comment on intellectual property issues. This customer has reversed engineered one of our systems and then offered his solution to us. Due to potential legal action no no further comments will be made. However we do wonder why if our system did not work why would he reverse engineer it?

Review: Had I read the other two complaints with Revdex.com on Faster Hot Water (FHW) I would not be in this situation. The system did not work in my single story ranch house. It took 3 -4 mins for warm (not hot) water to be delivered to the master bathroom. Not the 30 seconds advertised. The previous system using a normal recirculating pump at the vanity took 30 – 40 seconds and lasted 12 yrs. Second problem was that anytime a faucet was turned on in another part of the house, the FHW pump would randomly start. Very annoying. I can accept that a system might not work under some circumstances, but prior to buying the FHW, I sent a drawing of my house’s plumbing to [redacted], the company’s owner, who confirmed his system would work. I bought the advanced Waterquick Pro ii and it didn’t work. Then I spoke several times with Mr [redacted] to sort out what the problem was. He recommended that I buy additional parts to solve the problems, which I did. Now, with over $650 invested in parts plus labor (3 trips for the installer), the results are poor, not at all what was advertised and completely unacceptable. In the end he basically admitted that he may not be able to cut the 3-4mins wait time down to under 1 min, so I requested that I be able to return the parts and be refunded for only the parts. Mr. [redacted] rejected the proposal, swore at me and hung up. No exaggeration. So now I’m doing something I’ve never done in my life: taking someone to Small Claims court. If you ask Mr. [redacted] about my situation, no doubt he will have his own version, so if you would like details or have questions, feel free to call me at 619.[redacted] or email at [redacted]@gmail.com . I live in San Diego. My strongest advice is: Don’t buy this system - stick to a proven recirculating pump system….that’s what we are going back to.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the parts and be refunded my costs for only the parts that I purchased from them, I'll absorb the labor.

Response:

Its been 220 days since the original purchase was made (December 9, 2014). [redacted] processes electronic payments for us and they allow up 6 months to request money back. They also require the product purchased through their system to be returned before any monies can be returned.
