Saving Green Energy Audits Reviews (3)

4 November 2015To whom it may concern,I was originally contacted by [redacted]'s mother about doing an energy audit on an existing home he planned to upgrade. His plan was to apply for an energy efficiency based mortgage to finance the improvements. I scheduled the site visit and testing for...

9/23/14.On 9/14 I arrived at the site and his mother provided access to the home. We discussed what his plans were for the building. The home is served by [redacted] and therefore qualified for a rebate for having a utility sponsored audit performed. Because he also wanted to obtain an energy efficiency based mortgage to fund the upgrades I advised that I would also be providing a RESNET/HERS based report. HERS, or Home Energy Rating Services, is the approved program used for most energy loan programs.I then proceeded to inspect the building and document information required for the report such as heating, hot water and cooling systems details including photographs. As part of the inspection I performed a Blower Door test to investigate how leaky the building was - usually the number one efficiency problem in most homes in PA. While the Blower Door system was in operation, I further investigated the air leakage and insulation quality using an IR camera. During all this his mother was present and I explained what I was seeing as problems and how he should approach the required upgrades.Having Completed inspection and testing, I produced an invoice for services. I was told she did not have a checkbook with her but she would have a check mailed. In early October I sent out the Preliminary HERS reports so [redacted] could get estimates for the work to be done. From the customer letter "report was amateurish and did not even state the things he was going to do' Note: Saving Green Energy Audits is an energy auditing and energy efficiency Consulting Company - We do not sell or install products as We Consider this to be seen as a possible conflict of interest. I advised contacting the [redacted] Help Program for a list of contractors approved to work in the loan program run locally through [redacted] Bank in Macungie, PA. It was explained that these reports were a baseline and would have to be updated after inspection of the final improvement install to be able to provide the final completed HERS Report used to verify the installed improvements actually met the loan requirements.I heard nothing back from [redacted] for several months and still had not received payment of the invoice for services. In Spring 2015 I was contacted asking why [redacted] had not received the rebate from [redacted] and it was explained that the [redacted] report would not be filed until he paid the invoice. I advised that I had also not received a copy of the [redacted] billing required to be entered into the standard [redacted] computer program to generate the audit report. I received a check and a copy of the [redacted] bill 3/17 and processed the standardized [redacted] audit report (copy attached) and rebate form.At this point I do not know the status of [redacted]'s project. I have not been contacted to do the final inspection/testing required as part of an energy efficiency improvement mortgage. This testing may be done by any other approved member of the program. Please advise if I can be of any further assistance.Anthony H

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

This was a scam. After a nine hour analysis and over three hundred dollars, I did not receive a report. I have waited almost a year and made numerous phone calls with no response! I do not recommend this service at all!!
