I was recently in Florida for Spring Break and as a newly discovered Plumeria lover, I decided to bring a few of these tropical plants home with meI went to a few different nurseries around South Florida, but none had much of a selection so I took to Google to find a place that either specialized in tropical flowers, or specifically in Plumeria'sMy Google search brought up Plumeria Hut in Lithia, FL - it was hours North of where we were staying, so we decided to stop in on our way back home I'm so glad we did as it was an amazing experience This is a small, family owned business with a HUGE selection of Plumeria's (and other things) to choose from The owners (Bree and Eric) were lovely and very informative and helpfulThey took the time to show me the different things they had, and to answer any and all questions I had about the plants and provided me with their contact information in case I had any additional questions
Horrible business practices
Bree refused to give me tracking number for a prepaid purchase She kept giving excuses like "my computer is down", or "my email doesn't work", or "i can't access paypal", blah blah blah
Finally I told her after not having any proof that she sent it, that I wanted a full refund She turned really nasty on me and sent me messages in all caps telling me to "RETURN THE PLANT!!!" WHAT PLANT???? It hadn't even arrived yet, and she couldn't give me any proof that she sent it
Plant FINALLY arrived (not in the best condition either) so I let it go I'll never buy from her again, and after speaking to MANY fellow plumeria hobbyists, it seems my incident was not isolated She has a terrible temper and refuses to respond to requests for information All she wants is your money and you're lucky if you receive anything, let alone what you ordered Never again
I have bought plumerias from the Plumeria Hut of times and the plants are always in excellent conditionThe plants have bloomed true to the names and grown robustlyI had one small issue with a cutting that failed to thrive and Bree rooted a new cutting and mailed it o me the next Spring Very generous - Excellent customer service Highly recommend this business !
