Sawmill Fencing Reviews (6)

I had Sawmill Fencing install a fence for me and it was a great experience. The owner and his employees were pleasant and hard working. They did a fantastic job and I highly recommend them.

I recently had a fence installed by Sawmill Fencing. From start to finish I found the company extremely easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Sawmill Fencing gave me a timely estimate and start date. My fence was installed in a day and a half (which was what was stated would happen in the estimate) and it looks amazing! You can tell the Sawmill Fencing concentrates on quality just by looking at my fence compared to neighbor fences built by other fencing companies. The crew building the fence was prompt, motivated, and diligent about their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Sawmill Fencing to anyone looking for a fence in their yard! Thanks again Sawmill Fencing!

I work for a property management company and [redacted] did a tear down and a fence replacement on one of the properties that we manage. Please know that this is the very first and last experience I have had with Mr. [redacted]. He sent me an email on September 27th stating "[redacted], We are done over at [redacted] with that fence. It cost me a fortune as the hole kept filling up with water. Do you have the check? Need to do payroll and materials Friday.
Have a great Day,

I responded back with "Good Afternoon,
I need an invoice first. I also need to check work on the property before I can release the funds. I will try to get out there today. I need an invoice for our records on exactly what was done so I can cut you a check for the work completed.
Thanks so much!
We manage over 350 rental properties in and around the Jacksonville area and we have policies and procedures that we have to go by to ensure customer satisfaction and make sure things are running how they are supposed to. We have to check all work over the amount of $500 and anything under $500, before and after pictures need to be presented to us. This was a $5,200 job, we, without a doubt had to check this work before we could release that kind of money. Our inspector went out to the property immediately to take pictures and check all of the work so we can get a check written to [redacted]. I literally received the invoice on the 27th, had our inspector check the work on the 27th and wrote the check on the 27th. It did not go out in the mail until the following day (the 28th) because the mailman had already come earlier that morning. All of my records indicate that we received the invoice, took pictures of all work and wrote the check all on the 27th.
This is the email I received from Mr. [redacted] today (October 3rd)
"[redacted], Tear out for that fence will begin tomorrow as we are in Hubert unless I have a check written today! Because it is not your families money and credit it seems you care nothing about mine. You need to call me for a pick up or drop off time. Again, TEAR OUT IS TOMORROW!

This is the only email I have received since he sent me the invoice on the 27th. He did not try to contact me via phone or email after the 27th until today when I received that email from him.
This to me seemed pretty threatening especially since I wrote the check the very same day that I was informed of the completion. Most companies only write checks a few times a month when they receive a good amount of invoices, which is what we do as well. I knew he needed to have this before he did pay roll so I made sure it was taken care of right away. I receive on average, 15-20 invoices per week. I cannot write checks everyday that invoices are received but in this case I did which is why I was extremely taken back to receive his very unnecessary and threatening email. His professionalism aside, the fence looked great and he did a great job. Hopefully he does not intend on "Tearing it down" like he stated. The quality of work is there but who wants to work with someone that is threatening to tear down the job they just did just 11 days after completion.
