Sayer Photography failed to uphold our contract and complete work on our wedding album and now will not return calls or emails.Sayer Photography shot our wedding at Weymouth Center on August 9, 2014 but has failed to fully complete the work we contracted at a cost of $3995.00. Part of the contracted wedding photography package, invoice #XXXXX, was the completion of a wedding album. Following the wedding we marked the shots we wanted in the album after [redacted] reworked the photos, submitting our selection in April of 2015, but [redacted] Photography never completed the album and is now not returning phone calls or emails. We have tried to contact [redacted] Photo for several months now via the email, company website, Facebook page for the studio, Facebook page for the photographer/owner and by phone leaving dozens of messages. We even tried to get in contact with [redacted] Photos through our wedding coordinator from the area who has worked with the studio in the past.Desired SettlementI would like Sayer Photography to either finish the job as contracted or refund the money of the package.Business Response Hi [redacted] and [redacted] I consider it to be my studio's job to keep you as informed as possible in regards to your package fulfillment and I sincerely apologize for dropping the ball on this. I just wanted to let you know that due to some unforeseen situations and circumstances our delivery date for your album has been pushed back. First off I want to assure you that your album fulfillment is at the very top of my list to get to you ASAP. Not to go into too much detail but I have been dealing with a very serious family matter and have been in triage mode and on a bit of a sabbatical for the past couple of weeks to be there for my mother who lives alone in Charlotte. In addition, Pictage which was the industry leader and hosted all of my weddings since 2006 suffered a serious server failure in November of 2014 which they promised to rectify but never recovered from. Ultimately they went completely out of business unexpectedly in August of 2015 leaving a lot of professional photographers in a very tough predicament. Getting things fulfilled from them and navigating their site to get anything done became a complete nightmare leading up to their collapse and I have since had the monumental task of moving hundreds of thousands of images to a self-hosted proofing site. First off rest assured your images are safe. That said, unfortunately with Pictage, so went your saved favorites that you had chosen from your album. I am sending you a link for you to choose your favorites again and will have the design for your album turned around for you to preview within 2 days of you submitting your favorites. The subsequent proofing site for that will allow you to make comments about the design and I will adjust it as best I can to meet your requests. Your package included 60 images and 30 pages, but please feel free to include up to 80 images for 40 pages if that makes selecting your choices easier for you. Once you log into the proofing site, please follow the directions on the site and save the images to an image list. Once you have chosen the images, then submit the image list to me through the cart. Once that is done you can expect your album in your hands in less than 1 month. The company I am using now offers an even higher quality album and I still have your choices of leather and cover image and text at hand. I am truly sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused and I look forward to having your album and your preciously preserved memories to you as soon as possible. When [redacted] returned from his initial consultation with you almost three years ago, it was seeing your albums that convinced him you were the photographer we wanted. We are excited to display your beautiful photos on our coffee table. I am currently out of town on a business trip but he and I will communicate and try to finish the photo selection as soon as we can. Thank you again.
