On December 30, 2015, SC Rentals received Money Orders from [redacted] totalling $1,to secure an apartment for lease at [redacted] Our office was closed from 12/31/- 1/3/We returned to the office on Monday, January 4, [redacted] left message that day stating that he had changed his mind and would like his deposit backOur Property Manager, Shelly A [redacted] was out of the office and was not able to process the request until Wednesday, January 6, when she returned [redacted] was then contacted that his money orders were being returned to him and he could pick them up at our officeAttached is a signed copy that [redacted] received the money orders back from SC Rentals

SC Rentals is AWESOME!! They are friendly, helpful and ethical, which is very hard to find ANYWHERE these daysThey listen to their tennants and handle matters in a very timely fashionShelly A*** is our complex manager and she has gone out of her way to help me when I struggledThese people are wonderful!

Management, which was previously occupied by *** *** and *** ***When SC Rentals obtained the unit, it was already vacant with maintenance issues still needing to be completedWe did not receive any information from the previous management company regarding the move out of *** *** and *** ***, so we proceeded as normalUpon entering the unit, we found that a bedroom was damaged and needed to be replaced along with cleaning and carpet cleaningWe scheduled for these items to be completedAfter our maintenance team was out to replace the door with a new one, our office was contacted by *** *** to tell us that she had purchased the replacement door (which *** Management advised her to do) and she had the door and wanted to know if she could drop it off to usWe explained that we had already replaced the door, but that we would be willing to accept her door and not charge her for the door we purchases, basically just trade the doorsWe explained the other items we had scheduled and that was when *** asked for a breakdown of the chargesI explained that the file was not completely processed and we could not go over those numbers until it was completedWe also explained to the tenant that we have up to days to disburse the security deposit and that we could discuss any disputes after this process was completeI accepted the documentation from *** that she received from *** Management regarding no charge for rekeying upon her move out and it was noted in the file.The file has been processed, with only carpet cleaning charges held and the refund check has been mailed on 7/25/15.Please feel free to contact me with additional questions or concernsThank you for your time.Shelly A***Property ManagerSC [email protected]

Per the tenants lease, we have days after the last day of tenancy, February 16, to disburse the security deposit funds back to the tenantThe tenant's funds will be disbursed and mailed no later than April 16,

Don't move into Prospect Station if you need a place to parkThey only made enough parking for one building and then just made another building without adding parking just for profitResidents are getting ticketed and towed left and right and its pretty messed upShelley doesn't seem to care or want to do anything about itI've had issues with their customer service alreadyShelley is impossible to get ahold of, and when you do, she is EXTREMELY rude over the phoneIn just asking general questions (nothing extreme or out of the ordinary) she's been giving me attitude and doesn't seem to want to help at allYou don't seem to like your job very much, ShelleyMaybe try something else?

SC Rentals took over management of *** *** Apartments on October 1st, for the new ownership of the buildingThe new ownership decided to make a number of improvements to the building one of which is remodeling of the interiors of unitsAs, Ms*** was on a month to month lease, she
was given a day notice to vacate her unit to allow for the remodeling of her unitPer her lease, which is attached, and by law we have days to return her depositWe do have Ms***'s new address on file and she will receive her deposit within the next weeksThe refund of the prepaid parking fees in the amount of $will be returned along with the tenants depositWe apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.Sincerely,Alex ***

MsShelley A*** has been an absolute pleasure to work with She has extended many courtesies regarding the sometimes difficult process of renting a property Shelley's professionalism and willingness to always assist is truly outstanding

A year ago I submitted a positive review of SC Rentals, when Shelly A*** was still our managerShortly after, a "Blaine" replaced herHe was basically an absentee managerHe never responded to phone calls or emails and when one actually DID reach him, he was short and lacked information or resolutionThen recently they brought in Shirley and Lisa who were supposed to be so much betterThe only thing THEY did was issue threatening emailsThe maintenance at this company is a jokeThey basically ramshackle units together as quickly as possible just to get them rented ASAPWe had outlets that were never repaired or usable the entire two years we were there, the water heater broke down and flooded the basement, the drain in the basement backed up and ruined everything down there because of some condensation issue with their prehistoric air conditioning system that NEVER worked anyhowWe asked for almost two years to have screens put on our windows like every other tenant, finally getting them in Aug, Summers were miserable because of the non working AC and the inability to leave windows open for air due to no screens and mosquito'sThe basement windows kept falling out, so the stray cats in the neighborhood kept getting in and spraying everything, not to mention some of them being very wild and aggressiveThe maintenance man told me for three months they would replace the heavy wooden front door that kept not closing completely and then once it DID close would not OPEN againHowever, it never got replaced until one Saturday when the door just fell and landed on my two year old grandsonAt that point I began seeking legal adviceI could have sued, should have sued, but didn'tThe yard light never works, leaving us open to frequent gang "tagging", with spray painted homes, sidewalks and CARSThere was SO much moreI would not recommend my DOG rent a place with SC RentalsGoogle the reviewsThey are HORRIDThey don't care about the tenantsThey are slum lords

In July my apartment buildings management was switched over to SC RentalsThey did not explain clearly who the main contact was and never contacted me about looking into the lease from them when it was switched overI tried plenty of times to sign up on tenant portal but nothing was workingFinally contacted them after calling them timesThe guy, Blaine said it was my computer, my fault, and he said they would contact IT to fix itThey obviously never did because I have yet to get an online portal and it is September I have requested for invoices since they never tell me how much my rent is, so I am just blindly paying somebody who I do not trust one bitAlso they decided to start construction on the balcony of my apartment without telling usNo railing, which is a huge danger, especially since there are children hereAlso no floor boards at times, which is super dangerous for me, and annoying loud banging, would have been nice to knowVery unprofessional business and will never rent from them or suggest any of my friends or family rent from them ever

I am a tenant of a property owned by SC RentalsI had prior maintenance issues before they owned this property that were not addressed Since SC Rentals has taken over they have addressed and fixed every issue in a prompt professional mannerThey are great to work with and seem to truly care about the maintenance issues of their tenants

Husband and I pay for an application fee of 45$ a pieceThat was on Jan.7, today is Jan 29, and they haven't as so much as emailed, called, or sent a letter to us determining whether or not we were acceptedKind of seems like a scamDon't give these people your money!!! Keep it and find another rental companyIf they can't reply to non applicants, imagine what they would do if you were renting from them!!

Moved from *** *** Apartment in Greeley, Cn January 27, 2017, paid my February rent in accordance to the lease, was told by Property manager that if the apartment was rented before the end of February my rent would be pro-ratedSC Rentals rented the apartment February 18, called the property manager on February 21, asked how soon I would be getting my prorated check and partial deposit back he told me they were finishing up the billing on it, I asked if I could expect in the next days he said I should I waited until March had not received a check sent an e-mail, received no response, made phone calls on March 13, 15, 16,17, and the 20th left messages with no follow up by SC Rentals

We have had numerous issues with Shelly A*** since living hereShe is the most rude property manager I have ever dealt with; she is dishonest and is a hot headThe most recent issue we had was with canceling our leaseWe went in and spoke with one of her colleagues who said since we just signed a day before he will go ahead and cancel the leaseAll we would need to do is send in emails from both roommates letting them know we will not be renewingWe send in these emails and do not get a responseAbout weeks later I called and there is no answerA few days later I called again and left a voicemail this timeI did not get a response so I went into the office the next dayWhen I get there I let Shelly know I was there to confirm this was taken careShe then goes on to tell me that she has not heard anything about thisI let her know we spoke with a gentleman in the office and he told us this was okayShe then proceeds to tell me that everyone in the office tells her what happens when she is outI let her know we also sent emailsShe said she did not receive anything and I need to show proofI let her know we were told to send it through the portal website so it was not sent from our email and we do not have proofShe said there is no way to send an email on the portal and that I am making that upOne of her colleagues pulls up the portal and informs her that you can send emails on the websiteShelly then proceeds to tell me that all emails from the portal are forwarded to her and she did not receive anythingI then mentioned I left a voicemail about the issue too just yesterdayShe lets me know that she never received a call and any call she doesn’t receive is sent to her colleagueThe colleague then says she never received a call from meI let her know it was a voicemail and she told me she deletes her voicemails at the end of every dayI then asked shelly if she thinks we are just making this entire thing upShe let me know I did not have any proof and we are responsible for paying rent regardless of what “some person” told usBefore leaving she told me I have no proof of anything so be prepared to pay rentAbout an hour after leaving the office I get a call from Shelly who lets me know that she spoke with the owner of the companyHe was the one that approved thisShe let me know that they will honor his word this time; we just need to send an email letting them know this(Which we had already done) Although management is terrible, unreliable, and frustrating on a consistent basis, the location, quality and price of the apartment itself was very niceUnder new management this would be an ideal place to liveShelly, next time an issue like this occursI recommend you do not attack a tenant in the middle of the lobby and accuse them of lyingI suggest you tell the tenant you will do some further research and get back to themUPDATE: After moving out they tried to take our entire $deposit and charge us another $Had to hire attorney to get a portion of our money back

I spoke with [redacted] regarding this issue. We have issued a check to the tenant for the pro-rated amount and have explained the process for completing the disbursement of the security deposit. Our accounting department will disburse the security deposit on Friday, March 31, 2017. We apologize for the confusion.
