Review: I rented the hall at the Scandinavian Club on May 18th 2013. I paid $1,100.00 for the rental of the hall from 6pm till 12am and also gave a security deposit of $250.00. I called Carina for the first time on 5/23 and left her a message to give me a call back regarding the security deposit and she never returned my call. From 5/23 I left messages and sent emails regarding my security deposit and finally on 6/8/13, I received a reply back from Carina which was, "Been meaning to call. A lot going on right now but will try and touch base as soon as I can!" I never received a reply back with an answer regarding my security deposit. So, I wrote a letter on 6/15/13 stating to give me a call to tell me when I could pick up my security deposit. I received a voicemail from Carina on 6/15/13 stating she was not going to return my security deposit. I immediately tried to call back but she did not pick up and I left a voicemail. I also sent an email stating to please give me a call. I received an email on 6/16/13 from Carina, I will call you tomorrow to talk. It would not have been the entire amount. But let's just talk. I apologize that it has taken this long and I do want this to work out favorably for everyone. Carina has never called me back and I never received my security back. I then called the property manager [redacted] to see if she could call Carina regarding my security deposit. I called [redacted] on 6/17/13 and she said, I signed off on your security deposit. You should have received your refund. After I sign off on the deposit Carina gets a check from the treasurer and you will get your security deposit back. This process takes up to 3 weeks. I never heard back from Britt or Carina regarding my security deposit. I rented the hall from 6pm till 12am. My guests did not start coming until 6pm and the party ended at 11pm. Some of my guests stayed later to help load up the car. But, everyone left the premises at 11:30pm. I can get a statement from the DJ; he shut off and packed up his music at 11pm. The caterer was supposed to stay until 12am but left the premises at 11:30 pm. Nothing was broke the hall was given back like it was left. I have not received my deposit and it has been 5 weeks from the time of the event. According to the contract I should have received my deposit no later than 3 weeks from 5/18/13.
