We can only read the history of the estimates and invoices, we have them in our computer files after it is closed, it can not be changedWe can also scan and email the signed copies for your reference, all the information we tried to have the technicians and everyone that would touch the vehicle or engines write the information downYour truck broke down three different times, and you drove the truck 2,miles between the first time and the second time, and again 7,miles between the second and the third time your truck was hereDid you notice on your invoices that your truck has different reason why it broke down? If it were the same reason, we would also put it down on the invoice as a warranty
The first time you bought it in was for 'check engine light' and you had carbon deposit build up in your intake manifold, and the only way to repair that is to remove the intake manifold and manually clean out the carbonIt was at 109,miles, and the intake manifold had never been removed for ten years or 109,milesEvery time you bought the truck in, you also purchased a diesel clean up additive to make sure that your engine was not going to have the same problem againSecond time, you had a BROKEN Intake HOSE, if we had damaged that hose when we were working on the intake manifold the first time, you would not have been able to drive that truck for even a daynot 2,miles., and the hose was years oldand has 112,miles on it since it was new The hose was WORNED out and developed a hole in itThe third time you brought the truck in at 120,012, you had white steam coming out of the exhaust system , and your EXHAUST RECIRCULATION COOLING TUBE was having an internal leakThis cooling tube is located below the intake manifold, if it had been a warranty from removing the intake manifold, you would have had an intake manifold leak and there was no leak on the intake manifold, the leak came from the cooling tubeIf the other shop who says they repair as the manufacturers requirements, you have not presented us with any of their stated technical notes We followed all manufacturers recommendations, and we have not seen or have any copies of what the other shop has done so we can present this issue to the manufacturer for their recommendations You could have taken the truck to any motorcraft or Ford dealerships, and had the warranty work done But, you decided to take it to another shop and if the truck is under warranty, you have to informed them that the truck is under warrantyIf you expect another shop to pay for the warranty work, that job have to be authorized by the shop originating the work and that shop can pay the share of the work that is to be warrantied
You contacted us after the fact, and the other shop never contacted us for any warranty work

Customer bought truck in Jan 31, 2014  Customer stated: That he had a mobile service performing work;l on his truck, and the  mobile service was not able to repair the truck. Mileage was at 109,913. Truck had the 'check engine light on' .    Ran the diagnostic, found out :...

"Technicians notes:  (Technician found the following items. Perform diagnose with Ford software-----found fault code---P0401----EGR insufficient flow detected------removed EGR valve and inspect intake manifold and passages for carbon deposit----has carbon deposit---Recommend remove intake manifold for carbon clean up.)  Customer authorized to have the intake manifold removed and cleaned.
The truck was finished and picked up on February 13, 2014.
Received a phone call on February 18, 2014, that the check engine light is on again.  (NOTE: 2,785 miles later.)  As a courtesy, we did not charge any check out or inspection, we found a broken intake hose, that was not broken or replaced on the previous work. he waited and we finished the work in less than an hour.
We received a phone call again on October 30, 2014 at 120,012 miles   (NOTE: 7,314 miles later) . Engine have no power and smoking, (white smoke), we recommended him to have the truck towed in.
We performed an inspection, and technician found the following:   Technician found the following items....started engine... confirmed customer concern  white smoke.....coolant 2 gallons low.. added water to top off.....checked coolant pressure cap..  failed  recommend replace coolant cap...... pressurized cooling system... not holding pressure... Noticed excessive water coming from muffler weep hole...did EGR cooler leak test.. applied vacuum to cooling system... not holding vacuum..test failed..... recommend remove EGR cooler for testing...... NOTE... fuel leaking from right rear top of engine...cannot determine cause due to limited access..
We recommended to Replace exhaust gas recirculation cooler and the cooling system expansion tank.  which was done. The truck was finished November 5, 2014.
All the work is warranty for 24 months unlimited miles.
We have not received any information on how the shop in Camarillo repaired his truck as according to manufacturers specifications.  He only said that it was fixed but he never gave us any information on how they had fixed an item under warranty.
The customer contacted us after the facts, and we do not understand why the truck was not brought back to us for warranty work or contacted us before the shop in Camarillo took two weeks to accomplished an warranty.  The customer also stated that he had a WHOLE BUNCH of other items done for his truck that had no relation to the break down due to the Exhaust gas Recirculation cooler.
The estimate from the Camarillo shop was never received  by us so we were not able to respond and verify anything.  We don't know if the customer informed the other repair shop that the truck was under warranty.
Mr. B[redacted] only told us that he approximately put 5,000 miles on his truck since he was at our shop back in November 5, 2014.
Actually 5,500 miles.
We have asked the customer to file a complaint with the Bureau of Auto Repair and they will do an investigation and determined if we have performed an "band aid" to the truck.
We also found out that the customer was never charged for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation cooler, even though we purchased it from the Ford and installed the new one into his truck, we still have HIS old one.
