Per our policies and procedures which are governed by FDA and HIPAA we are not allowed to disclose over the phone why a donor is deferred, especially when it is related to test results.  However, we can notify the donor that he/she must come to the center and speak to a medical staff associate regarding their test results and any actions that need to be taken care of will be done at that time.  The donor was made aware of his deferral status on 07/01/2015 after our call center spoke with him; it was also at this time that he was told that he needed to come into the center to resolve his deferral status.  Additionally, we tried on several more occasions to contact the donor, without success.  Messages were left on  07/22/2015, 08/07/2015, 08/12/2015, 08/18/2015, 08/29/2015, and 08/31/2015.  As per the donor’s request all he needs to do is come into the center to speak with a medical staff associate regarding his test results and actions needed to resolve his status.  If you have any further question please do not hesitate to ask.
