*** signed a legally binding contract for $on November 18, It clearly states below the signature line that all custom made orders are non cancel-able and non refundableI agreed to allow the shutter order to be canceled even though work had already begun on it and I charged him the actual costs I had into the order at that timeThis amount was and covers the measure fee from my installer and the temp shades which are included for shutters but not blindsIt also covers my time in placing the shutter order and canceling and any other miscellaneous processes included in processing his orderIt plain and simply covers my cost into the job to allow him to cancel itI did not make a profit on that amount and its a small amount considering the time I put into it.I also ordered a measure from Norman Shutters which I was billed for two months laterI informed *** that I had that cost and although it is an additional reason I hold to the amount that was charged when he decided to cancel his order, it is not a part of the money he paid when he changed products.This amount he was charged allowed him out of his contract for custom shuttersIf he would like to reinstate his contract, that amount will be credited back to him, as the measurements will be used and the price of temp shades will be covered

COMMENT 1: Order was changed from shutters to blinds because *** asked our thoughts on switching from Cibilo Shutters to Norman ShuttersWe did not want to go with the Norman Shutters so we switched to blindsShe went ahead with the shutter measurements even though we voiced our opinionWe will leave this up to the Revdex.com to decide appropriate resolution

I have already stated I will issue a refund via my bank and they allow ten days for delivery once processed. When *** signed the contract and paid half down on his custom Shutter orderthis action authorized me to begin work on his project including taking exact measurements for shutters and placing the order with factory. When he called wanting to cancel the shutters and put in blinds instead,
I was very clear that work had already begun on his order and to cancel he would have to cover the costs already put into his project of He was agreeable to this but now is wanting to try and get a refund for work that was completed back in November on his jobThis work was both authorized as well as stated very clearly and I am not sure why he has recently decided this is unjustified but I dispute that fact entirelyWhen I found out the shutter factory was running at weeks I found another vendor who could provide them in 2-weeks since I knew that time was of the essenceThis is the point at which I ordered the measure service from Norman Shutters and since it was canceled it I was billed for the cancellationThe customer was never charged anything for the Norman measure whatsoever so his complaint about that is not valid.Regarding the film for the bathroom, If it is defective or poor workmanship I will be glad to refund the full amount however the day I was set up to take a look at it and remove it if it was faulty the customer and the tenant wanted to keep it in place and asked me not to come over unless I was replacing itI never got to see what the issue is with the film but it was clear that the customer wanted to keep it and also be refunded for the amount of purchase.I am still willing to take a look at it and repair, replace or refund if neededAdditionally, I did upgrade the door shade to a brand new cordless cellular shade option -- not another customers order-- and this is the first I have heard that it is not acceptable. Cordless shades work great on doors but I will gladly put the plain standard white roller shade with cord in its place if desired by all parties
