I am writing this review about the Service department, NOT the Sales department. The Front desk individuals at the Service departments are Very Rude and Unprofessional. They do not know how to talk professionally on phone or in person. If you are buying a car from Scarsdale Ford look elsewhere for your service needs.

Review: ON MARCH *, 2015 - MARCH *, 2015, SCARSDALE FORD SEVICED (PROGRAMED) MY TRANSMISSON FOR MY 2010 FORD EXPLORER. ON MARCH **, 2015, THE TRANSMISSON WAS STILL GIVING ME TROUBLE SO I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT SCARSDALE FORD, I SPOKE TO A MALE NAMED [redacted] AND HE SAID TO BRING MY VEHICLE IN.

MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN THERE SINCE MONDAY MARCH [redacted] 2015 [redacted] TOLD ME THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REPROGRAMED AND I SHALL HAVE ME VEHICLE BYTHE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. IT IS NOW APRIL *, 2015 AND SINCE THEN [redacted] HAS BEEN GIVING ME EXCUSSES ABOUT THE TRANSMISSON WORKER NOT BEING THERE AND HE'S AVOIDING MY CALLS. ON MONDAY MARCH [redacted], I WENT TO SCARSDALE FORD TO SEE [redacted]. HE TOLD ME " THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS $700 WITHOUT LABOR FEES". SO I ASKED HIM TO EXPLAIN WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND THE FEES. HE SAID " ALL I KNOW IS THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE VALVE BODY AND ITS CONNECTOR, THE GUY WHO'S WORKING ON YOUR VEHICLE JUST WROTE THESE CODES AND PRICES AND LEFT". HE SAID THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE FINISHED ON THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY.

SINCE THEN, I CALLED [redacted] ON WEDNESDAY APRIL [redacted] AND ASKED HIM TO FAX ME THE WORK THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY DONE TO MY EXPLORER AND THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. HE ONLY FAXED 2 OUT OF 3 PAGES OF THE WORK DONE PRIOR AND NOT THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. HE ALSO HAVE BEEN AVOIDING MY CALLS ONCE AGAIN AND IT IS NOW APRIL [redacted], STILL NO WORD FROM ANYONE AT SCARSDALE FORD AND I STLL DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH MY VEHICLE.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE FOR SCARSDALE FORD TO COMPLETE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO MY VEHICLE, FREE OF CHARGE.

The business has responded. Please see below:March **, 2015 Vehicle was dropped off here for transmission concern with check engine light on . Vehicle had transmission replaced by outside independent shop. Upon diagnosis of transmission, we found by pin point test, harness and connectors corroded/broken and the solenoid in transmission where the harness connects to. We were advised by customers outside (non-Ford) extended service contract, that both components were not covered. Customer advised of findings and decision of extended service plan. Authorization was not given for us to move forward until father called on April *, 2015. The harness was backordered and are specific to vehicle. Customers father was advised of part delay. We received the part on April **, 2015 and repaired the vehicle for the [redacted]. Due to the fact that customer purchased vehicle here at Scarsdale Ford, we discounted the parts for repair and absorbed $500.00 in labor. Customer was happy with assistance from deale r. Case resolved. Thank you.
