I met with [redacted] at his property on August 5, The initial call was for a brown front lawnMy first observation was the lawn was dry as we were in an extremely hot dry spell for several weeksMy employees merely suggested to [redacted] that he raise his mower up to a higher setting since that will help keep the lawn cooler in these dry timesWhen there is ample moisture his regular mowing height would have been fineI saw nothing out of the ordinary except dry spots here and there, and new grass was actually filling in those areas because we did have a little rain in the meantimeMost of the brown spots in front of the windows were caused from an animal, most likely a female dogAs for the grub concern, we didn’t feel there was an issue there because it was a little too early for grubs to be out and causing damage, especially since the weather was so dry [redacted] may have found a grub, but as I explained to him, you need 5-per square foot to cause damageI can understand the concern when applications are done on the same day but that had nothing to do with the lawn turning brownWe have applied apps on lawns for at least years without any detrimental effectsThe lawn just didn’t dry out in a few days after our applications, this took weeks to dry outIt was just a coincidence that the timing of our apps coincided with the dry hot weather and the lawn drying out [redacted] pointed out the spots near the road where he said something leaked out of our machineHe was correct, it was granular fertilizer from our machineSometimes mistakes happenI actually spread the extra fertilizer around with my hands while talking with Mrand hopefully those areas have recovered at this pointI believe when I left the property [redacted] had all his concerns answeredIt turned out that his wife is from the town I currently live inSince Mrsaid he wanted to come back to us, pay his bill on-line and have us apply lime to the entire property, I told him we would take care of the extra lime in front of the windowsI didn’t tell him we would seed the spots in the rear behind the dog pen, but I had it scheduled on the work order for my guys to do that also at no chargeMy notes concerning the situation as they happened, latest date on top, are below: 08/10/02:PM - MK4: Will is there doing the entire lawn lime app and the extra bag of lime in front of each window in the frontWhen I was there on 08/05/I told Mr he needs extra lime in front of his windows, then I told him he needs lime on the whole propertyHe asked me if we lime and I said yesHe told me to lime the whole yard and I then told him I would also lime in front of the windows at no chargeHe called today questioning if there was a chargeI told him yes but not for the extra lime in front of the windows like I told him when I was there on 08/05/16.08/05/04:PM - MK4: I met with MrI explained that most of the dead spots in front were from the dogsThe main front lawn in the open areas was dry, new grass is sprouting out on its ownGrubs not a problem since he only found and you need at least per sq'I raised his mower to the highest setting, advised him to apply bags of lime in front of the windows and to seed with a pitchfork the area behind the dog penHe then said to me that he wants to come back and pay his bill on line and for us to lime the lawnSo let’s lime the entire lawn now and apply half a bag in front of the window on the left and half a bag in front of the window on the rightI also want the spots seeded behind the dog pen in the rearIf you need further clarification on anything, please let me knowThank you, MKIV Michael K [redacted] IV, CTP-CSLPresidentGrasshopper Lawns Inc[redacted] **Larksville PA ***

Tell us w Thank you for notifying us about a problem with our serviceWe have been in business for years and we value input good or bad. With regards to the *** account, *** was notified via email and phone call before each and every applicationWe have that specific
information stored in our computer system with date/time, if the call was answered, how long the phone call lasted and if any buttons were pushed to connect with our office while on the calls Also, on every invoice, in red letters at the bottom of the page, is listed: “For your convenience service continues from season to seasonFor a change in service, please call our office.” *** never called our office to cancel the service until after the service was completed even though he was notified by email and phone call before each service. After deeply reviewing ***’s account because of this inquiry, we did find an error in his accountThe lime application we did in the spring of was a leftover application from that couldn’t be completed because of an early snowfallThat lime application was supposed to be free of chargeWhen we set it up to be done in spring of 2017, we never carried the $charge over to Our mistakeIn other words we did the spring lime application with a charge when it should have been $0, then we did the Round Fert/Weed application with a chargeThe Round Fert/Weed payment was actually paid for by a credit from so his balance is $0. We will contact *** *** *** and explain our mistake. Hopefully *** will reconsider and take our service back for since we owned up to our mistakeThat’s what a great company doeshy here

I met with [redacted] at his property on August 5, 2016. The initial call was for a brown front lawn. My first observation was the lawn was dry as we were in an extremely hot dry spell for several weeks. My employees merely suggested to [redacted] that he raise his mower up to a higher setting...

since that will help keep the lawn cooler in these dry times. When there is ample moisture his regular mowing height would have been fine. I saw nothing out of the ordinary except dry spots here and there, and new grass was actually filling in those areas because we did have a little rain in the meantime. Most of the brown spots in front of the windows were caused from an animal, most likely a female dog. As for the grub concern, we didn’t feel there was an issue there because it was a little too early for grubs to be out and causing damage, especially since the weather was so dry. [redacted] may have found a grub, but as I explained to him, you need 5-10 per square foot to cause damage. I can understand the concern when 3 applications are done on the same day but that had nothing to do with the lawn turning brown. We have applied 3 apps on lawns for at least 25 years without any detrimental effects. The lawn just didn’t dry out in a few days after our applications, this took weeks to dry out. It was just a coincidence that the timing of our apps coincided with the dry hot weather and the lawn drying out. [redacted] pointed out the spots near the road where he said something leaked out of our machine. He was correct, it was granular fertilizer from our machine. Sometimes mistakes happen. I actually spread the extra fertilizer around with my hands while talking with Mr. and hopefully those areas have recovered at this point. I believe when I left the property [redacted] had all his concerns answered. It turned out that his wife is from the town I currently live in. Since Mr. said he wanted to come back to us, pay his bill on-line and have us apply lime to the entire property, I told him we would take care of the extra lime in front of the windows. I didn’t tell him we would seed the spots in the rear behind the dog pen, but I had it scheduled on the work order for my guys to do that also at no charge. My notes concerning the situation as they happened, latest date on top, are below: 08/10/2016 02:09 PM - MK4: Will is there doing the entire lawn lime app and the extra bag of lime in front of each window in the front. When I was there on 08/05/16 I told Mr he needs extra lime in front of his windows, then I told him he needs lime on the whole property. He asked me if we lime and I said yes. He told me to lime the whole yard and I then told him I would also lime in front of the windows at no charge. He called today questioning if there was a charge. I told him yes but not for the extra lime in front of the windows like I told him when I was there on 08/05/16.08/05/2016 04:43 PM - MK4: I met with Mr. I explained that most of the dead spots in front were from the dogs. The main front lawn in the open areas was dry, new grass is sprouting out on its own. Grubs not a problem since he only found 1 and you need at least 10 per sq'. I raised his mower to the highest setting, advised him to apply 2 bags of lime in front of the windows and to seed with a pitchfork the area behind the dog pen. He then said to me that he wants to come back and pay his bill on line and for us to lime the lawn. So let’s lime the entire lawn now and apply half a bag in front of the window on the left and half a bag in front of the window on the right. I also want the spots seeded behind the dog pen in the rear. If you need further clarification on anything, please let me know. Thank you,           MKIV Michael K[redacted] IV, CTP-CSLPresidentGrasshopper Lawns Inc.[redacted]Larksville PA [redacted]
