Scheid Diesel Service Company, Inc. Reviews (1)

mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">Scheid Diesel Service Co. received notification of the complaint by [redacted], identification number [redacted] on September 12, 2014. After reviewing the complaint we feel confident that we will be able to provide strong evidence that the injector's issues are a result of fuel contamination and not a result of work completed by Scheid Diesel professionals. Scheid Diesel's warranty policy states that we do not warranty any parts that have been contaminated. Enclosed you will find invoice number [redacted] from April 23, 2014. This is the first and only time the entire set of six injectors entered our building. The injectors are not Scheid Diesel manufactured injectors however on April 23, 2014, we wrote up the repair order to rebuild them for NKP Diesel. As noted on the repair order, during the evaluation of injectors, our technician noted two of the injectors had cracked bodies. All six injectors were evaluated and it was noted the injectors contained a foreign substance. At that time our technician replaced the two cracked bodies, thoroughly cleaned, and repaired all six injectors. NKP Diesel was verbally informed and it was stated on the repair order that the injectors had fuel contamination. One of the six injectors returned to Scheid Diesel on repair order [redacted] under [redacted]. Customer stated that the injector was misfiring; he asked that we check it and provide advice. We externally cleaned, calibrated, inspected the inside, and tested the injector. The results of the evaluation of the injector were that there was nothing mechanically wrong with it, it tested fine, the solenoid was good and there was no sign of what would cause a miss fire. On May 16, 2014, one injector returned to Scheid Diesel and the repair order number [redacted] was written up for [redacted] reported to Scheid Diesel on May 16, 2014, that the truck had bad fuel and rust was found in the fuel rail. [redacted] requested that we check the injector, externally clean, and calibrate it. Scheid Diesel's technician discovered that the locating pin was smashed into the injector's holder and documented that it appeared the customer tried to open the injector. The nozzle's hole was plugged by a foreign substance. Scheid Diesel replaced the locating pin and nozzle. On August 26, 2014, [redacted] returned injector to Scheid Diesel and information can be found on repair order 423903. Darin asked that we check and advise. We externally cleaned and calibrated the injector. Scheid Diesel's technician discovered that the nozzle was plugged and the nozzle pin was not seating. The technician used the sonic cleaner to clean the nozzle and it still did not work. Scheid Diesel recommended at that time that the customer purchase a new nozzle.
Scheid Diesel performs evaluations of injectors on a test stand that has two filters. One filter is a 5 micron and the other is a 2 micron filter. The 2 micron filter is only used when testing common rail injectors. Calibration fluid is used on  the     test stand and we change that fluid as well as the filters on scheduled intervals.
Mr. [redacted] called and spoke with our Service Manager after August 26, 2014. Mr. [redacted] stated that a nozzle tip blew off an injector and damaged his motor. He wanted to know what our warranty policy was and if we were going to warranty the motor in his truck. We informed Mr. [redacted] at that time that we have a one year warranty on injectors as long as there is no sign of contamination. We reminded Mr. [redacted] about the first repair order on April 23, 2014, where it stated that the injectors had a foreign substance in them. The Service Manager asked during the phone conversation to see the injector that had a blown tip so we could evaluate it to see if it had proof of contamination. To date, Mr. [redacted] has not brought the injector in for evaluation.
Scheid Diesel has been committed to our customers and the service we provide for thirty two years. We are committed to delivering professional, reliable, innovative, dedicated, expert service every time to our customers. If the injector issues that Mr. [redacted] is experiencing was because of Scheid Diesel's work it would be covered under our warranty. Unfortunately, when contamination is involved we cannot warranty the work due to the extreme damage contamination does to parts. Contamination has the potential of causing permanent damage to the engine or any of the parts in the fuel system.
Please feel free to contact me at any time for further information and any questions you may have moving forward. We appreciate the opportunity to prepare a response to the complaint and look forward to work with the Revdex.com of Central Indiana in the future.
Sincerely,

Dan [redacted]
President
