I am rejecting this response because:What a poorly written response It just shows the lack of concern First, I made it perfectly clear I wanted a month to month contract since that is all I had a *** *** I was assured that NJAC was not the same low quality establishment Second, the person I spoke with the day I came into the business is a sales person I have seen him several times selling contracts - nothing furtherI doubt he has any authority beyond that When I asked for a general manager, he told me 'she' would just deny my request Further he never offered his name or a private place to discuss what was wrong He (and the individual behind him) stood smiling and laughing at me the entire conversation During the first month of my membership I made every attempt to ask the members behind the desk to address my concerns Unfortunately, nothing was addressed or completed Those experiences were a mirror the events that happened the day I asked to cancel It was the same snide, unconcerned, disappointing attitude In fact, I believe they kept switching around membership badges and claiming I wasn't in the system because of my complaintsI will not be 'transferring' my membership because I demand it be cancelled I will not stand to be part of a businesses who feels it is their God given right to treat people unfairly because they have them trapped

When the individual signed up for the membership, we were offering a promotion for all former members of the facility that closed a special rate until January, where the dues would go to $48 per month as indicated on the agreement signed. All of the members that signed up under that promotion were...

made aware of the charges beginning in January. When the individual came in to cancel her membership, our membership director spoke to her to find out what the issues were that she was having. There are detailed notes in our CRM system that demonstrate that he attempted to find out exactly what the issues she was having with the gym were, so he could help her solve them. The manager was not able to ascertain what the issues were, with the individual only stating that she didn't like it here and wanted to cancel. As per the terms of the annual commit membership, no one can cancel while in the term of the membership.   As for the issues with the facility, we do our best to continually repair any equipment that is not working. If there is a particular piece that is not in operation, we certainly will address the issue, but according to our records, there are no pieces of equipment in the ladies workout area that are not operational, but we will certainly test them to make sure.  Our lap pool is open every hour the club is, but it being only 3 lanes, people from time to time do have to share lanes. There is never a time where it is closed or unavailable. One possible resolution would to to have the individual find someone to transfer the membership to. As a courtesy, we will allow the individual to transfer the membership to someone else and have that person assume the remaining term of the contract.
