Review: On December 31, 2014, a technician came to our house to fix our Kitchen Aid dishwasher. He was not able to fix because he "needed a part" and that it would be "early next week" when the part came in. I paid him a $70 "service fee". After waiting for TWO WEEKS WITHOUT A WORD FROM THEM, I called and asked the status. I was given a lot of excuses about why the part was not in yet. When I asked why nobody had kept in touch regarding the status of the repair, they did not have an answer for me. I explain that this was unacceptable and that I demanded some sort of discount as a remedy for the terrible service. The person I talked to on the phone agreed that they would do that.

We then scheduled the repair appointment for 1/19/15. On that day, the technician showed up.....20 minutes late, again with no phone call.....and proceeded to tell me why he could not fix the dishwasher. He said it needed "another part". When I questioned why he did not notice that 3 weeks prior, he did not have an answer for me. He then said he would come back the next day, 1/20/15. He showed up on 1/20/15 and fixed the dishwasher.

When it was time to pay, I reminded him that I had had a verbal promise of a discount for our inconvenience. He refused to give me the discount stating that because we weren't going to use them in the future that he had no reason to give me a discount. When I reminded him of this, he shrugged. I then told him that he needed to, in good faith, make this right, because much business can be gained or lost by word-of-mouth based on customer satisfaction. He then proceeded to bad mouth my husband's business. When I instructed him to stop and that I just wanted to write the check so he could leave, he continued. It was only when I picked up my telephone and threatened to call the police that he stopped.Desired Settlement: I would like the discount that I was promised. I would also like a formal, written apology from the technician.

FIRST OF ALL MRS [redacted] WAS A MOST DIFFICULT PERSON TO DEAL WITH. MR [redacted] INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, ORDERED A PART, INSTALLED IT AND WHEN IT DIDN'T WORK CALLED US. I DIAGNOSED IT AS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM, ORDERED A PART AND TOLD MRS WE WILL CALL WHEN THE PART ARRIVES. WE ALSO TOLD HER SINCE IT WAS AROUND THE HOLIDAYS IT MAY TAKE A FEW DAYS LONGER AS TO SUPPLIERS WERE NOT OPEN CERTAIN DAYS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. THE PART CAME IN, THE RETURN CALL WAS SCHEDULED. SINCE MRS [redacted] WOULD NOT BE HOME UNTIL 3:30 THAT DAY, THE CALL WAS SCHEDULED FOR AFTER 3:30 AND I ARRIVED AT 3:50. WE DO NOT GIVE SET TIMES BECAUSE THINGS CAN HAPPEN THROUGH OUT THE DAY THAT MIGHT TAKE LONGER THAN OTHERS, HENCE THE REASON FOR AFTER A CERTAIN TIME. I INSTALLED THE PART AND STILL HAD A PROBLEM. THE UNIT WOULD WORK BUT NOT CORRECTLY. THE ADDITIONAL PROBLEM WAS TRACED TO THE PART MR [redacted] REPLACED. IT WAS INITIALLY THOUGHT A PIECE WAS MISSING ON THE ASSEMBLY MR HAD REPLACED. WHEN I DETERMINED WHAT THE INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WAS, I TOLD MRS I WOULD BE BACK THE NEXT DAY. WHEN MRS [redacted] ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT I TOLD HER I WOULD CONSIDER IT. NO PROMISE WAS MADE. AT THE TIME OF COMPLETION, WHEN ASKED ABOUT A DISCOUNT, I SIMPLY STATED I WOULDN'T GIVE A DISCOUNT ONLY BECAUSE MRS [redacted] STATED SHE WOULD NEVER PATRONIZE OUR COMPANY AGAIN. I LOST ANY INCENTIVE TO GIVE A DISCOUNT. HOWEVER AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, I'VE DECIDED TO GIVE A DISCOUNT IN THE FORM OF A GIFT CARD FOR A $40 VALUE (APPROXIMATELY A 40% DISCOUNT).

Review: Purchased a new GE dishwasher from this business. Waited more than two weeks for install. After waiting more than two weeks was told "Oh its on a dock." Installed on November 2, 2013. Stopped working on Feb 22, called store for warranty repair on February 24. Repairman showed up on Feb 25 and told that they needed to order a part and that it will take "a few days to get the part." It is now almost three weeks later and the store refuses to return calls regarding the repair, when the part will come in, what part was ordered or to even return any calls from me. Machine worked for a little over 90 days and now I can't even get company to return my calls or tell me when the warranted machine will be properly fixed. They flat out refuse to respond to any calls even when I leave a message, on a machine that should not have stopped working in such a short period of time.Desired Settlement: 1. Immediately repair the machine 2. Extent warranty for an additional month 3. Return cost of machine if they cannot fix machine in a timely manner (within a week) and allow me to go to a reputable company and purchase a new dishwasher
