Again our apologies on any misunderstanding. Ms *** called to confirm parking arrangements at just after 1:00pm before she left to travel to her 2:appointment. She spoke to *** again and asked specifically if parking was validated and was told it was not. She proceeded to travel to the interview even after being told again that parking would not be validated and upon arrival asked if parking would be validated and again was told it was not. Had she decided to participate and not leave she would have been paid $which covered hour or her time and any travel expense including parkingAgain our rates are typically $for an hour for compensation plus validated parking. In this case she was being paid $additional more than our typical rates which would have more than covered her parking and any other travel expense she may have incurred. The front desk was not certain of the rates because they are based on the amount of time that you are physically parked in the garage and also the time of day (early morning arrivals are discounted as an early bird discount and they also have reduced rates if you arrive after a certain time). Not knowing what exact time she arrived the front desk attendant estimated the amount would beAgain if Ms *** had decided to participate she would have been compensated for her parking and her time in the incentive of $she would have been paid for participation. We are sorry for any inconvenience Ms*** experienced

[If you are rejecting the business's response please enter your rejection comments here.]An apology is a nice touch considering a business does NOT stand behind it's printed wordAgain, if the front desk had to "ask" about compensation, there is some doubtdoubt about itPoor business practices exist when one does not stand behind conflicting informationI did not stay because I did not feel that this company kept it's wordstatements both verbally and in writingIf the verbal statement is so verifiable to my being notified, why when questioned, did it have to be reviewed again: because the printed notice, with directions on where to go said I would be compensatedPerhaps, if there is a conflict, the company ought to correct it's "standard" issue directions. If not, the burden lies with them as the expert providing the detailsA standard business practice is to give the benefit to the consumerI fail to see where this is being doneBad communication, poor information, details resulted in this problemI believe the business has to rectify their mistake in the printed directions by reimbursing my expenseWhat I could've, would've, should've is not what actually was.

OUr apologies for any misunderstanding.  The specifics of this study were as follows:[redacted] was recruited for a one hour market research study on August 11th.  We typically pay $75 for an hour interview plus validated parking but for this specific study we were paying $125 instead for an...

hour but it included parking. So respondents were paid an additional $50 to cover parking and any other travel expenses.  She was reconfirmed for this specific study by phone on August 18th by [redacted] and was told verbally that parking would not be validated and it was included in the incentive.  She was reconfirmed again on August 21st at 10am by [redacted] and again told that parking would not be validated.  [redacted] was also sent a confirmation via email (see attached) to which she acknowledged receipt that states all in capital letters that parking is not validated and it is included in the incentive. When [redacted] arrived she did ask if parking was validated to which the front desk told her no for this study it is not validated per her confirmation email. We did stipulate both verbally and in writing a total of 3 times prior to her attendance that parking would NOT be validated. We do apologize for any inconvenience and misunderstanding on this matter!!
