We signed a contract with ** *** July, 1st, to do work per their insurance claim. We completed the roof by July 13th, and gutters by July 28th. The homeowner contacted our rep, Jeff ***, after the gutters were complete with some concerns about the gutters. Jeff
reported it to our production manager, who scheduled the gutter crew to go back to the homeowners to take care of their concerns; gutters extending too far past the eave, downspouts not long enough, and flip extensions weren't installed. On 08/the gutter crew was back out making the adjustments. The homeowner was notified and was present. Our field inspector then contacted the homeowner and scheduled an appointment for 08/to do a final walk through with them. Everything was completed except downspout that the homeowner wanted hinged. He would follow up on that. We continued to move forward with the claim - sending the invoice to the insurance company as the job was complete On or around 09/Jeff (salesman) was contacted by the homeowner stating that one of the gutters was not functioning properly. Jeff again contacted our office to let the production department know. It did take about a month for us to get back out there, which was too long, however, it was an aesthetic issue, and there were many other jobs in front of this repair. We attempted this repair times, and could not please this customer. We offered a $discount, which was excessive for this minor aesthetic issue. At this point the homeowner still owed us over $5,that they were holding out because of this gutter issue This went back and forth for months. Finally, on 02/03/Jeff met with the gutter subcontractor, and Bo and Haley Steil. The gutter guy did exactly what the homeowner asked them to do, and the job was completed They paid us in full on 02/and the job is closed Please let me know if you need anything further from me Thank you

Schmidt Roofing installed 2 wooden garage doors in 2012. Ms. [redacted] contacted Schmidt Roofing to let us know there is daylight coming through the panels on the garage doors. We contacted the installer and manufacturer of the doors - the...

manufacturer is no longer in business. As a result there is no warranty on the door. We are working with the customer to come to a resolution that is satisfactory to the customer. We will contact the customer today to schedule the resolution. We will follow up by the end of the week this week.

I am writing to say that Schmidt Roofing has not resolved all of our issues to date, but this is what we have in place. They arranged for a subcontractor to come out and he covered up the inside of the garage doors with a product called Luan to prevent the sun from coming through. They brought out a contract that says they will come out in the spring to tighten up the spring on the single garage door because neither my husband nor I can open it since they added the additional product to the inside of the door. They have also agreed to contract someone to come back next spring or summer to sand down and re-stain the outside of both the garage doors. If their work on the garage spring and the outside of the garage doors are done correctly, we will be satisfied. If not, we will contact you again.
