This is just an easy (oh I didn't know that truck was completely demolished) response. This truck was bought at auction, painted, a couple rims put on and sold.
Only someone dreaming would expect a used truck to be 100% operable, but a truck that needs more than 50% of the original selling price to get running is unacceptable.
[redacted] assured me that there would be some reimbursement on stuff that definitely should not have needed replaced the same month I bought it (Kubota Pony Motor $5,000, and Upper Hydraulic Cylinder $3,200).
The tranny, clutch, cruise control to run the PTO, wheel bearings are all expenses too and I had put aside $10,000 to put into this truck but we far surpassed that. I didn't see an offer of any refund at all in this response, and I would think that a company that sells "200-300" trucks a year would definitely want to take care of its customers.
I am rejecting this response because:Yes we did receive the affidavit of correction and forwarded it to the customer to take to the DMV for titling this week. Hopefully the DMV doesn't need any additional paperwork from Schmidys and we will not know that until the end of this week.
The title was filled out incorrectly on our end the financial institute notified us immediately about the mistake, they sent over a affidavit correction form and it was filled out and directly overnighted back the financial institute.
Mr. Huddleston came and looked at the truck he was purchasing, left a list of items that he wanted prepared, we made the proper repairs that customer wanted, all of our trucks are used and are sold as-is, and customer signed all of paperwork. We can't control what shops tell customers and the...
I am rejecting this response because:ABS Light was not fixed. Fluids and filters were not changed in over two years as promised. Fabrication work was done in a dangerous manner creating unsafe working conditions. Based on their Revdex.com rating it is clear I am not the only customer with serious complaints against this business. I offered to sell the truck back but never received one phone call back from anyone willing to do anything or talk other than their service tech. This is the one of the worst customer service problems I have dealt with especially on a company that seems like it would depend on repeat business. Their lack of concern for their customers and their safety is egregious and while I may only be able to pursue legal recourses it is my hope that those that read this complaint and the multitude of others against Schmidy's Machinery that they will take their business elsewhere. This company knows what they are doing is dishonest at best and far worse could be said. I have pictures detailing their fabrication work which is what I will be using to take my own actions against this company. Buyer beware.
