favorIf I didn't believe my daughter and her husband weren't capable or qualified to do the job I would never have let them do my own home, let alone other jobsI offered to come back personally to try and correct anyting she believed to be unfit or not" decent "enoughI don't deny the quality could have been touched up but she would not allow me back she was adamant about hiring her new painterNor does she allow the painters to clean up their brushes in or near the house there was very little mess in the streetThe bid I gave her was for labor and material but regardless any painting I do, the paint is always left for future touch-upsSo obviously there wasn't any leftAnd if we accidentally picked up your room it was not intentionalYou know I believe that I should have been given the opportunity to fix anyting requested by The ***

Schneider Construction was to install panels on 2 small ceilings and do some trim work. Some of the trim work simply wasn't done (he had excuses for that) and some was very shoddy workmanship. When the job was complete & he was in a rush to get home to get his daughter off the bus, he pointed out that the ceiling panels were not adhering. He said they had used double sided tape, tried glue, & even nailed a few panels up. He promised to return to make it right - assured me that his reputation depended on it. But he also expected payment. Over the next 2 1/2 wks. he didn't show on 3 dates he gave me - always with an excuse. He didn't return my call when I left a message with a deadline. The ceiling panels were all falling down. So I went to the magistrate. The case was settled in my favor - he didn't show up for the hearing.

Review: This business did not fulfill its job to me...first he said they were professionals and his "crew" turned out to be his daughter and her boyfriend. They were to paint my ceilings with texture paint, clearly had no experience and did not go to the ends of the walls in some areas got paint all over my walls and never cleaned any of it...dropped my paint for my porch all down my street, so they shorted that job because they took the additional paint the day before..it was my paint! The guys said he would stop back and clean up the next day and clean up...never showed...Mr Schneider who came and looked at everything...apologized for how bad they did everything and promised to come back in a few days and do it himself...repaint the porch, ceilings and clean up the spills and paint dumped outside...time comes he never shows...have called and left several messages...no response...I guess he got my money so he can care less....the business is a total rip off...I have to pay another painter to come and redo everything to make it look decent...I paid this guy way more then I should have and now I have to repay someone...Desired Settlement: Want him to bring my paint back that he took and the broom the took...it wasn't theirs....and give me at least 300.oo back to repay the new painter!

Review: We entered into an agreement with [redacted] of Schneider Construction on 11/2/13 to replace and repare 4 sheet of T-111 siding on our house for a sum of $800. [redacted]'s crew showed up in November to begin work but realized that T-111 was out of stock at the local [redacted]. They had at that time already begun to put holes in the old siding, we had also already provide 50% ($400)of the total costs with the remaint 50% ($400) due at jobs completion. They stopped further work ordered T-111, it arrived 2 weeks later at the [redacted]. We've spoken with [redacted], provided him paint that matches the house to pre-paint the siding before installation. He confirmed in December of 2013 that he has the siding and it is painting and ready for install. We've continued to call him, and he continues to tell us the next week he'll get to our house. It is now July 2014 and we still do not have our siding replaced, we've called him over the last 3 weeks and have been unable to make contact. Our voicemails and text messages go unanswered. I would never recommend doing business with Schneider Construction, they are unreliable, and do not stand by their word. Their slogan of "one call does it all" is inaccurate, i've called them over 50 times to have my siding replaced and have them honor the contract and it has been over 7 months with nothing to show. Do not use Schneider Construction.Desired Settlement: I would like the 3 sheets of T-111 that [redacted] purchased and the paint I provided returned to me in addtion to $100 difference in the material cost vs. the $400 i've already paid.

Review: Mr. [redacted] was contacted early May, 2014 to repair siding on a residential home. We have used him in the past and he has always provided quality work. The estimate was quoted for $2,400, therefore we went through our insurance provider for a claim. Early on in the process, [redacted] was very thorough and called usually several times a week to see if the insurance check had been cut. We personally gave him the money upfront for the cost of ordering supplies. In total $1,700 has been issued to him, $500 of which was our personal money. After the supplies were ordered, [redacted] has gone MIA. He told us back in June that the siding was in and he just had to see when he could come out to do the job. We have made several attempts to contact him and are only able to get a hold of him whenever we call from a number he doesn't recognize. He does not return our phone calls. The latest story that we have heard from him was that his truck was in the shop (over a month ago) and he needed $500 cash to get it out. We regrettibly gave him this thinking that it would help get the job done faster. Every week (whenever we are able to get in touch with him) we always get another lame excuse - truck is out, partners are on vacation, it's going to be a few more weeks. It has been almost 3 months and our house is still not repaired. We have contacted our insurance agent and the company does not want to get involved, even though it is technically insurance fraud. They will not re-issue us the money that is seemingly lost and now we will have to pay the difference to a new contractor. If he is not going to do the work, all we want is the money back. Any help would be much appreciated!Desired Settlement: Completion of job or refund of $1,700

Review: We contracted with this company for a cement patio on 5/21/15. From the points listed in the contract three were not met. First, the dimensions listed in the contract 25 feet by 12 feet were not followed. Second, the finishing was a disaster and finally, the area was not properly cleaned of debris and forms. As far as we know the job is still incomplete. Mr. Steve told us that he would fix it in a couple of days, even if that meant removing the entire patio and pour the cement all over again. This promise was made the first week in June when we paid the final installment.

We called Mr. Steve several times (more than 40 calls) to ask him to complete the job. This was over a period of two months. Mr. Steve kept stalling with several excuses: ¨I have to take my daughter to school¨, ¨I have a flat tire¨, ¨I have to take my truck to the body shop¨, and so on. We left him several messages on the answering machine and he did not call us back. The last time we called him, was through a different telephone and, not recognizing the number, he answered our call. Mr. Steve gave another excuse right away, saying that his truck was still in the body shop (the same excuse he gave us three weeks ago). At this point we realized that Mr. Steve could not be trusted and we decided to file this complain.Desired Settlement: All we want is that the contract is met with professionalism and on a timely manner. If this cannot be done, we wish a refund of $1,000 to cover us completing the job.
