Schneider National, Inc. Reviews (4)

We booked 3 loads, on a Thursday, the loads are supposed to be picked up on a Saturday. There were direct instructions to call before you arrived. That is the way our loading operation works. Schneider did what they wanted to do. One truck showed up 1 hour and 47 minutes late, the second truck showed up without calling. The third truck never showed up. No one at Schneider notified us that what was happening. We called don Monday to check delivery status, thinking that someone would have called if there was a problem with the pickup. Not one load was loaded, their only offer was to cancel the loads, or our company to pay them for being late and not following directions, which is what they did and the left us with 3 loads to try to find trucks for. The Supervisor Nate, said he did not care, and he canceled the loads as if our business was no big deal to him. What Schneider has done, is their stock has gone public, they laid off most of their employees, and they have outsourced the jobs to the Philippines. They don’t care about your business, and they are poorly trained in tact and professionalism.

Review: Repwest Insurance handles the claim for U Haul International. A driver for Schneider National Carriers lost control on the highway in Madison, WI and hit one of our U Haul trucks causing extensive damages in the amount of $16,251.72. The handling adjuster for Schneider is only willing to offer $8,841.71 with no support. Adjuster indicated that he cannot provide this information to us. U Haul is a self insured entity and has the right to recover for the full amount of their damages provided an estimate is supplied per the WI state law. Adjuster is making assumptions on how the U Haul vehicle will be repaired in which he has no knowledge of.Desired Settlement: Repwest Insurance is seeking full amount of repairs for the damages to the U Haul equipment as per the police report the driver for the Schneider National Carriers was at fault for the accident.

Response:

I apologize for not responding to you sooner regarding your letter of 10/15/2014 for Complaint ID [redacted]. I just received your correspondence here in my department today. My area is the department here at Schneider that handles claims. You are more than welcome to put my name in your records for any Schneider entities as well as INS Insurance Inc. as the contact person. We are such a large company that sometimes mail gets routed around before actually getting to the appropriate department. In response to Complaint ID [redacted], we are unable to find a claim in our system with the information that has been provided on the complaint. So I am unable to determine the status of the claim. Please have the complainant submit additional details relating to their claim such as date of loss, the Schneider drivers name or even a police report. That will help me determine if we have a claim in our system and for me to review the status of that claim. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact me. Thank you, Ms. [redacted] | Risk Management Assistant | INS Insurance Inc. (Entity of Schneider National, Inc.)[redacted]

Please accept this letter as a response to yours dated October 24, 2014 sent to [redacted] of Schneider National, Inc. Please be advised that INS Insurance, Inc. is the captive insurance company for Schneider National

Worst customer service ever received from my account manager along with his operations manager up to his manger. I escalated the issue up 2 levels of management to never get a response in the end.

The account manager took a shipping load that I explained was very time sensitive or I would lose a new potential multimillion dollar deal. I explained the weight 3 times and was explained that it was no problem and "guaranteed" it would be done to earn our business. They were to pick up on Friday 01-24 on rate confirmation [redacted] and didn't. I received an email saying that the weight was too heavy that weekend but was too late to find someone new. That was after I explained numerous times the weight had to be 45,490 lbs. which we haul on a regular basis though other brokers.

After I called the account manager, he stated the driver fell through but he would find someone else right away. He then emailed for more money (15% more) which I said was fine just to get it shipped. I then received an after 3pm on Monday saying they couldn't find anyone. Now too late for me to even find someone else myself. His manager stated he told the account manager that they cant guarantee anything but made it sound like he was new. In fact, this account manager has been trying to get our business for a year. Definitely not new to the business.

Saddest part is that the next 2 levels of management never even followed up with me which they promised they would do. I even stated that if this situation was not fixed, I would report to the Revdex.com at the end. Will never deal with this company again.

I applied for a dedicated trucking route through georgia pacific out of green bay Wisconsin that offered a $7500 sign on bonus. After 2 months I found out that I would not get the bonus because of where I lived which was not described on the application. Even though I didn't get my bonus because of my location, 2 other drivers not even 30 miles away from me received theirs!
