I had only been employed with this company for 30 days before I had to quit and part ways. Which is funny because they sent a company wide email that they had to part company with me! First of all, after being spoken to like a child, listening to profanity in the work environment, and seeing first hand how they treat there customers I decided I could no longer stand to work here only after 30 days. I had to bring my son to my 30 day review because I was only give 2 days notice and Katie Plath cussed in front of my 7 year old son. They ripped apart our work with no kind of constructive Criticism and no explanation on how we could improve in the field or how to avoid the situations we were in. She just told us how terrible our images were, it was an hour of sg on their employees. I had told my mom who works as a correctional officer what was going on and she decided to look into the owner, Jeff Edwards, and found some disturbing things. He owns over 61,000 dollars in income taxes to the federal government which explains why he always paid us 4 days after our actual pay day. He has also been evicted from his home for not paying his rent which was never settled. I have screenshots of all of it below which the public can view for themselves at anytime online. This company runs their business day to day and are just barely surviving. Katie Plath who I mentioned earlier, works in the office! I’m sure you have all read the lovely customer reviews about her. How she hangs up on customers, cusses at them, reports and accuses children of cutting themselves because they have writing on their arms, and refuses to give any kind of refunds to parents who have not received a good product. I can tell you from experience that this is all absolutely true! She literally told all of us in training that she is not a bh and said it again at our 30 day review. Let me tell you she is an absolute bh You don’t have to tell people that if you don’t act like it. She is on some kind of power trip and putting other people down obviously feeds it! This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for and I would highly recommend not getting involved with them in any way, shape or form.

I have read your letter containing the information regarding this matter and I am a bit confusedThecustomer is requesting a refund which is exactly what was offered them both via a phone conversationand in a follemailThat resolution still stands, the customer simply needs to return the
digitalmedia to us and we will refund their money upon receipt of media. With regard to the “rudeness” that they may have experienced, I will apologize and visit with theemployee they spoke toHowever, I will say that respect gained is respect earnedWhen I interviewedthe three people that are in the same area they all to person said they could hear the person on theother end of phone being very boisterous to the point that the person on phone had to hold it about 6inches away from her earOur staff is normally instructed that if they get into a situation like that toterminate the call as nothing productive will resultWe will always work with a customer for aresolution that wants to communicate in a positive way to seek a resolution to their concerns. We will watch for the returned product and issue a refund to the customer immediate upon receipt ofthe items.Sincerely,Jeffrey ** ***

This person did contact our office as she stated regard portraits of her child taken at *** *** First thing that needs to be clarified is that picture day was on September 30th and completed packages where delivered to the school on October 17th. Which means delivery was
in working days,( industry standard is to working days). Obviously, it the school a couple days to give the portraits to the teachers and then teachers to the students. The phone call to our office was initially a complaint about background colorOur standard work is take the number of the customer and call them back as soon as we do the research which involves looking up the order data and retrieving the original picture day envelope to verify what was produced as opposed to what was actually orderedThat is about a fifteen minute process, we would never keep a customer on hold that long. When we told her we would need to call her back the conversation turned somewhat profanity laced and bullying. When we called her back to let her know that indeed the wrong background was ordered we would happily give her the choice of a remake, retake or refund (and those options still exist). At that point she became belligerent again and she would not be satisfied unless she got a retake, remake AND refund. We have offered to resolve this issue in accordance with OUR policies. I don't think any retailer would have a customer who is not happy with product have an exchange policy of "Ok take another and will give you your money back" Attached is the flyer supporting the actual picture date as well as the information about or retake refund policy

Re: Scholastic Reflections

I prepaid for the photo package online with my credit card, yet they are unable to credit that card when I told them I want a refund. I haven't received the package yet. They wanted my daughter to bring the package home so I can send it back to them. Then they will issue a check. What? Well after emailing back and forth and then a phone call, they are sending me a check now. This whole thing started when my daughter showed me her new school ID photo. It was absolutely horrible, like she was caught completely off-guard. We were going to get the retakes, but after the rude email I received after complaining, I decided NO. I decided NO after they emailed this response, "We took multiple pictures of your child and the photographer had noted that she was incorporative and would not smile. At that point, we do not continue to take pictures if the expression does not change." And yes, that's the way the girl spelled uncooperative. My daughter is in the 9th grade and IS cooperative and very capable of smiling. So yeah, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and insulting as well.
Katie is the person I was emailing. I don't recall the name of the girl I spoke with on the phone.

My daughter went to school on picture day with song lyrics written on her arm. Rather than to causally ask her what that was Scholastic Reflections took if upon themselves to pull her picture and bring it to the principal's attention. My daughter was pulled out of class by the school counselor and was told that the photography company was worried she was doing self harm. My daughter was asked by the counselor if she was cutting herself. I called and spoke with Katie at Scholastic Reflections who was extremely rude. She continued to yell at me on the phone and said she had every right to give my daughter's picture to the principal. Katie would not let me speak or ask if any one at her company was trained to identify the warning signs of a mental health problem. Katie said she was the mother of 4 children and yes she was certified in mental health...yet she refused to tell me what certifications her or her staff had other than she is a mother of 4 children. Katie said I was not qualified either so what she did was right. Apparently, being a mother myself or my current occupation of working with certified mental health professionals does not qualify me in her opinion. Katie went on to say I should be appreciative of the fact that my daughter's picture was given to the school and it is not her problem how the school handled it. I believe Scholastic Reflections singled out my daughter because of her multicolored hair, her makeup, her nose ring, and written expressions on her arm. I am more saddened that I was not able to express how upset this made my daughter feel to Katie. She would not let me speak to simply let her know what she did was inappropriate, unprofessional, and caused more damage than good
If my daughter had a black eye, cuts, or injuries her concern would have been justified. Because of Katie's negative approach and unwillingness to explain her qualifications this will happen to other students. I didn't think my daughter's right for self expression should have been pointed out. I never thought a full body picture was used for the school yearbook because only the upper body is shown. Perhaps there should suggestions such as a proper attire...or what to expect on picture day on Scholastic Reflection's website so future students will have some type of fair warning they could be singled out by a photography company for looking different than other children. Maybe if they would have explained somewhere a full picture was taken then I would have made my daughter wear long sleeves to protect her against judgmental adults who don't agree with my parental choices. Hopefully, my conversation with my daughter's school had a bigger impact for future students since they are now fully aware of my expectations of a photography companies obligations of providing an unbiased, undiscriminatory service and not to initiate unnecessary interruptions about how a child chooses to dress on picture day.

The first time I called was December first the day my kids came home with their photos I left a message but never received a call back. So I called them again today December 20th 2017. First person I talked to told me she didn't understand why I didn't like my oldest daughters pictures because they picked the best one then she proceeded to tell me that they never got a phone call from me so I told her that I had it in my phone the time & date I called she hung up on me. I called back a second time & I explained my situation to different person she put me on hold & the next thing I know the phone hung up. I called back a 3rd time & spoke with a lady who was beyond rude. First she offered a refund but as the conversation went on & I wasn't willing to agree with the nonsense she was talking she refused to give me one. Her first excuse for not giving me a refund is because I was talking over her & she didn't want to argue, then she told me I had the pictures too long but I received them on December 1st then she told me they don't give refunds on the CDs. She told me that I was yelling at her but I had her on speaker phone so I could record our conversation since they were giving me the runaround & after I listened to the conversation I wasn't even yelling she was & she was so rude it was ridiculous she told me that I shouldn't be yelling with a newborn baby after I told her I was feeding my baby. She claimed that I was harassing the company when I only responded to an email she sent me & I told her I reported them to the Revdex.com I will never shop with this company again. I would rather take my kids schools pictures elsewhere. School pictures are important to my family I buy them every year plus year books. But after my experience today I wont spend a dime with Scholastic Reflections & I reported them to the Revdex.com. They have horrible customer service. I can't believe how I was treated after spending money with them for years...& I would of spent more money for years to come. I'm just glad I found out what they truly are about.

Wow what a rotten place to work! Employees are only treated/paid well if they are the long term photographers...don't get tricked with their end of summer hiring and LIES about the hours you'll get. One of the women hired was let go early on but was the women told she was let go? You guessed it NO just told employees to ignore her calls or texts. Classy is not a word anyone would use to describe the owner. Jeff learn some manners.

Review: I ordered pictures of my child, from the school for picture day. the pictures I ordered, were wrong (the background) was blue instead of brown. I was also unsatisfied with the way my child looked in the picture! I placed a call to the company on 10/21/2014 at 5:34pm. The women whom answered the phone told me about the retake day which is Nov. 5th. mind you these pictures were taken in September, and I'm just getting them today. [redacted] is her name, and she said I could get them retaken and reorder them, so I asked her to tell me if this was a mistake on my part or theirs, because I felt if it was their mistake because I have to wait so long I feel I should be refunded for the pictures and the pictures should still be retaken for the inconvenience because the 100% satisfaction is guaranteed. She told me she would call me back after she looked, I told her I would like to be placed on hold, and she argued with me about placing me on hold. I then asked for her supervisor and she repeated she would call me back at least five more times, finally I am assuming she put me on hold after three minutes of being on hold she hung up. after about seven minutes a man called me back by the name Jeff Edwards called me back and told me I could wait for picture retake day or I could send the pictures back and get the back ground fixed. I asked him if I wait for the retake day will I receive a refund and he told me "No, I am not giving you free pictures"! I told him that " I felt because I buy from your company every year and I have to wait about six weeks for the picture so my family WILL NOT RECIEVE THEM BEFORE CHRISTMAS like I wanted the pictures originally for, and the mistake was their fault that this was not to much to ask ". He then told me "if I would shut my mouth and listen to someone trying to help me maybe then I would understand what he was saying" after that rude statement, he also said "that if he hears the fbomb or rded come out of my mouth, he would contact my sons school principal and I would be pulled into the office and talked to"!!! I then told him that when I said "rded" I was referring to the picture because my son is wearing green and brown and the background is blue. His response to that was sure! as if he didn't believe me! So he asked what I wanted to do because he was not giving me free pictures, in discussed from how I was talked to I told him I wanted a refund then I hung up!Desired Settlement: I would like my refund for these pictures, and because I was completely disrespected treated like I was a child I would like my sons pictures retaken the way that I ordered them in the first place free of charge!

You reply ya ya right its obvious Jeff is a liar. The woman who answers the phone for SR is what some would call challenged. Her way of being in control is to make up her own little version of what a caller informs her of...also known as the game of telephone.

Review: My son had pictures taken by this company at his school. Their company has a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee of saying that they will give retakes on retake day and a full refund if not 100% satisfied. We do not like the pictures for a few reasons. 1) the background color is ugly it says brown but it is an orange brown and It looks terrible. 2). the expression my son has is forced not a natural smile. Overall we don't like the picture. However we what dislike the most is the ugly orange/brown background.

Since we were not satisfied with the pictures and saw that they had a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee I called their company & spoke a customer service rep. I explained why I was calling, the girl put me on hold & came back she said that I could reorder the images and they would give me a discount of 1/2 off the original package price. I paid a lot for school pictures this package was $51.00. when I asked why I had to pay I was advised that It was my fault that that I didn't like the pictures, they wouldn't replace the ugly background and replace it with one that they could easily reprint them with a different background because I chose the original background. I explained that I did not like the orange color in the brown background it does not look brown at all & his grin is really off. She said if I do retakes it would be on the same orange/ brown background! Which is the main thing that I dislike! Even if I had retakes and got a new smile it would still have the ugly orange background, which is what I am dissatisfied with the most. So doing a retake would not fix my dislike for the pictures since I will never be satisfied with that background, regardless of who picked it! I asked about the satisfaction guarantee & she got defensive/rude. She said that it was for a Christian School and I told that the school is Catholic & that Religion has nothing to do with my concerns, she hung up on me. I called back a few hours later & spoke to a second rep named Cathy who proceeded to tell me that she knew of my complaint & that they would no longer offer a discount, it is now full price because I was rude! I tried to explain that I wasn't rude at all just questioned the companies guarantee, then had religion thrown at me. The girl was WORSE!. She kept interrupting & speaking over me. I asked for a manager & she too hung up on me. I called right back got the same girl, she told me that "her cordless phone batteries died & she was just looking up my #" I asked her how she was looking up my number if her phone died and how was she answering the Phone now & she told me that she would not help me & not to call back. I told her I was filing a Revdex.com complaint and her reply was: What? you think filing a Revdex.com complaint will put us out of business!?" They even said that If I called back it would be harassing them and they would call attorneys as the calls were being recorded. I told her that I hope being recorded so that the management can hear how rude they are with their customers. Also they never advised that the call could be recorded but they need to review them if they are! She hung up on me again!

I just couldn't believe how terrible the company is. They say that they are customer service oriented but that is far from true, I asked repeatedly for a supervisor or manager and was denied, I was threatened with attorney's for no reason. I was yelled at, interrupted repeatedly, spoken over, and hung up on 3 times. All because I wanted to speak with someone who had respect for their customers and would be willing to listen to their customers concerns and talk to them with proper customer service and respect. Instead the representatives say that they are supervisors and cover up for each other. All I want is my sons picture to not have the ugly orange background and one that will blend /match his clothes and be treated with respect! They say that they are Revdex.com Accredited but they use a different name (Scholastic Reflections for billing & adverting) WHICH MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT to find them on Revdex.com.ORG.They say they have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee which is even posted on the companies website but that too misleading and is false advertising!! These pictures are supposed to capture a special time in a child’s life, memories to look back on and this company has made it a terrible memory. They do not stand behind their promises. Now there will not be happy pictures for us to to look back on and remember his preschool years.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to stand behind their guarantee and allow me to return the pictures I have and reprint them or retake them on a different background that we will be satisfied with. If this is not something that they are willing to do then I would like a full refund. I would also like the company to apologize for the poor customer service I experienced
