DDN/ Cox has an asinine policy that affects your subscription AND your wallet Every time you place a vacation hold you're basically flushing money down the toilet The DDN doesn't tack on those issues you aren't receiving to the end of your subscription Nope! They believe since you can access the paper electronically, it counts as still receiving the paper Of course, the only way you are notified of this policy is if you read the print on the back of your invoice Very sneaky Actually, unethical

We've been experiencing home delivery issues for about the last year and a halfLately we don't receive a newspaper at least once or twice a weekOn the days we do get a paper, it's seldom delivered before 10:- 11:00a.m., even though their "delivery guarantee" is delivery by 6:am in weekdays, 7:a.mon Saturdays and 8:a.mon SundaysBy the time it gets here I seldom have time to read itI guess I do get a lot of exercise walking the feet to the mailbox several times a morning, looking for the paper! When you call their Customer Service number, they aren't even located anywhere close to Dayton! We've been connected to customer service reps in Texas, Georgia, and even outside the United States......way to go DDN....bolster our local unemployment numbers! Those CS reps will do nothing but extend your subscription one more day.....big deal....one more day I probably won't get a paper! Many times they've promised to kick the complaint up to the Regional Manager.......who has never bothered to do anything about the problem either.....or even bother to contact us to discuss the situation! All they want you to do is access their "electronic" versionTheir electronic version requires internet bandwith that most of the rural areas of Ohio don't have reasonable access to, so that's not a viable optionWhat do we have to do to get the paper and "delivery service" we've already paid for? Calling their customer service is a total waste of time!

You do not get your paper delivered They will tell you they will have it redelivered, does not happen

My subscription to the Dayton Daily News has gone up 40% in the last yearWhen I called to cancel the subcription I was told they can negotiate the price with meI find that disgusting that I have to go through this for a newspaperI told them I would rather just cancel the subscription and since then they have called me every day two or three times a day at work trying to get me to change my mindI told them on the first call that I no longer wanted to receive the paper, but they keep calling and leaving me voicemail messages at workYesterday I took one of the calls and the lady wanted to argue with me about the whole ordealI really believe this all started when I set the payment up on automatic paymentsWhen I used to write them a check every month I had no problemsNow that they have access to my account I believe they think they can sneal these increase by their customers because many people will ignore the letter they mail out about the price increasetheir readers just shouldn't have to go through this
