When *** *** came to the office to request the refund for his credit check/application fees, we informed him that we could not issue this $refund to him, not only because he had agreed to Rapid Realty's no refund policy regarding these fees, but because Rapid Realty PSN did not have access
to those funds. Unlike the initial deposit that *** *** put toward an apartment, which was held in an escrow account owned and managed by my office, Rapid Realty PSN, and which was promptly refunded to him in full at his request; the application/ credit fees that *** *** paid online were held in a separate account owned and managed by Rapid Realty's Corporate HeadquartersWe provided *** *** with an email address for the corporate customer service department and encouraged him to contact them to state his case in the hopes that they might make an exception to their no refund policy regarding these fees.According to the corporate customer service department, they have received no communication from *** *** to dateAs such, I took the liberty of reaching out to them on his behalfAfter I explained the scenario, and that *** ***'s collected fees had not been used to order credit reports, they agreed to issue a refund for the full $but this refund is to be issued to the actual client not the franchise office, therefore, *** *** must be the one to submit the request & come in to pick up the refund.I hope that this will bring this matter to a satisfactory resolution.
