Upon receiving your initial notice of the referenced complaint, we attempted to contact the person'group that chartered the coachThis was not one of our retail tours where we had personnel on board to handle the travelersThis trip was chartered by *** alumnae to attend the ***/** *** gameThe
folks on board made their reservations with those peopleWhen *** *** called our office the following day, I told her we were only hired to provide the coach and she should contact the person with whom she made her reservationsWe were strictly engaged to provide the transportation.I then contacted the chartering party, and he explained to me exactly what took place that day after the gameI requested that he please Write it up for us to submit to you since he was in charge of that trip, which he did and a copy is enclosed.We should perhaps note that we had three other coaches chartered for that game*** ***, her husband and another guy were the three not present at departure time as stated by *** ***However, her husband DID locate another of our coaches, they had a bit of room and he returned to Winchester with them, never mentioning his wife and the other personI did ask *** *** how she and her husband got separated and what about their cellphones, but I didn't get an understandable response.We've done group tours for years (30+) and have never lost any passengersWhy these folks didn't take *** *** up on his offer of his cell number is beyond me but he did make the offerI have no idea "exactly" what transpired in this matter, but we have done business with *** *** for years and he is a fine, reputable businessman in the community and has had no issues with his passengers in any trips he has contracted.I hope this clarifies the issue that took place, and you can close your file on this matterIf you have any further questions or anything additional needs addressed, please let us knowWe are a small, familyowned business and make every effort to provide quality, professional service to our clientsWhen someone makes an allegation like this, it undermines our reputation and all We've Worked so long and hard to achieveWe'll look forward to hearing that this matter is closed.Respectfully submitted,Larry & Dottie S*Shrock TravelEnclosure
