I am sorry that this happenedI was unaware of this.I have since spoken to [redacted] who did say that he remembers talking to you and then to [redacted] to see if he could get the ball rolling on your return which seemed to have been dropped [redacted] has tried twice now to contact you to see if there was anyway we could apologize and resolve this for you but to no avail.It is generally the policy in our office that each individual preparer is responsible to manage their own workload and that policy seems to have let you down in this situationWe will review our office procedures to hopefully ensure that this is not the case in the future.Please do contact our office and specifically [redacted] at [redacted] and we will work with you to resolvePlease do be aware that a majority of the staff will be out of the office however until the 7th of August and do bear in mind that we can help you then to resolve.Thank you for taking time to submit your feedback to us through the Revdex.com portal

I am responding on behalf of me and our companyThis client unintentionally created a very difficult issue to resolve by sending money in response to as demand for payment from the *** *** *** without checking with our firm first
In fact the *** request was incorrect, as the referenced income should have been reported on the taxpayer's individual income tax return
When this individual contacted after April 15, the *** had just ceased accepting waappointments and I did not have their appointment telephone number, but stated I would get that number and get back in touch with herUnfortunately, I was very busy with several other taxpayer returns being filed under extension and forgot to follow up on setting the appointment with the *** *** *** I sincerely apologize for that oversight
Since receiving this complaint, I have obtained the *** appointment line phone number, and been able to schedule an appointment for this issue on Friday, August at 3:pmAt that time I hope to find out if the *** wishes to leave the income at issue on the records, or wants us to amend the taxpayers' return to obtain a refund for her and the amend to report it correctly
I cannot resolve this issue today, but will do so as quickly as possible

Since it has taken *** Tax Associates months to make an appointment with the IRS, I I can not accept the response from this business until I know if any further steps need to be taken to resolve this Tax issue and I will not have this information until after August 21st

This is to respond further regarding the complaint filed (Revdex.com Complaint #***)
We have received payment from the complainant for her tax preparation, which our tax preparer did according to her instructions (not including the income from the estate K-which she had already paid tax on after being erroneously billed for it as income)
I did make clear to the complainant that I would be unable to speak in person with someone in the Denver Internal Revenue Service office until after April 15, 2015, and it was my understanding that the complainant wished to file her Form by April 15, without including the trust K-income, because she had already paid tax on itI explained in my previous response that I was extremely busy in the weeks after April 15, and forgot to follow up on getting an appointment made at the Internal Revenue Service (a new requirement instituted this last spring.)
I explained on September 17, that I had met with an Internal Revenue Service agent Friday, August 21, who stated that there is nothing we can do unless and until the IRS sends her a notice requesting an adjustment to her income tax returnThe agent stated we should not file anything at this point, as I also stated in my prior responseThis could take twelve months or moreIf the complainant receives any correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service, she should contact us immediatelyThey will not send correspondence to usdirectly
I believe this case should be closedThere is nothing more I can do at this timeIf the IRS sends the complainant any correspondence about or 2014, she must get a copy to us, and I will be glad to respond to that letterI cannot second-guess what the Internal Revenue Service may or may not do

They did not offer a solution instead they just sent me a bill threatening to turn me over to a collection agency; therefore I reluctantly paid the billI believe they need to give me a partial refund, due to the fact that they did not perform the services rendered, in a timely manner as originally promisedI think people using this tax service need to be aware if you are filing an individual tax return and run into any problems, they will do little or nothing to help you resolve them unless you file a complaint with the Revdex.com and then will threaten to turn you over to a collection agency? I originally choose a tax service I thought I could trust, not only to complete my taxes accurately, but to help me should there be a problem with my taxesConsidering the amount this tax service charges, I naively thought since I was paying more money, So if there was a problem with my taxes for whatever reason, they would help me resolve itI was mistaken
