We shipped cars with this company twice
In both cases the "end bill" was almost twice the original quote
They claim custom inspection fees and then add transport - admin charges etc etc etc
Communication is terribleAVOID these people

All in all a first rate servicemy car arrived in amazing conditionAny questions I had were answered promptly and to my satisfaction
The car was collected quickly from the sellers house and all paperwork sorted ready for shipment efficientlyOnly prob I had was that the car did sit in port at New Jersey for quite a while before loading (wks) in total
This was not a huge problem for me and the car did get shipped to a very local port to me making collection easy
Over all out of

They made sure to dot the i's and cross the t'sAll paperwork had to be correctOrganised transport and vehicle preparations for the tripCommunicated regularlyGreat experience all aroundReceived the vehicle in one piece

they were totally uncommunicative through the entire process. At one point we were told we would be charged extra to have it shipped to our new home because it was a different address than they had been given. I emailed our Schumacher agent copies of the original invoice which clearly showed our address as being the final destination and asked that she write back and confirm that she received an email.

After a week of not hearing anything, I called her to see if she had received my email. She said she had but she was not going to write me back because there was nothing to say. She was rude on the phone and spoke over me. Finally, I got a hold of the freight cashier who confirmed that we should not have been charged extra.

Then we were told that we owed an extra $585 because our goods had been inspected in customs and we would not receive our shipment until we paid that money. There were no documents to verify that the shipment was sent to customs inspection and no way for us to see how the figure was arrived at. I emailed the freight cashier asking for these documents and have not heard back from her after more than two weeks. Furthermore, when we finally received our goods, all of the boxes were sealed and showed no signs of having been inspected.

After paying our final invoice, we were told we would have the shippers contact us to arrange a delivery date within a few days. That process took closer to two weeks and we were given just 48 hours advance notice of a delivery between Friday and Sunday.

I hired this company because it was Revdex.com accredited. The sales person, Joey S[redacted], the sales person that helped me through the process, made a good job until the moment that he got my booking. Afterwards, he just ignored me. His supervisor, Ms. Jenny K[redacted] took over, but then, their inefficiency with the process has caused me to pay for something I shouldn't just because of their lack of proper communication (didn't offer me complete information on the shipping of the vehicle, so it will arrive 2 month and 8 days after I booked the service, when the initial estimation was 2 weeks - 18 days). If would have known that this delay was a real possibility, I would have taken the necessary steps in advance, but I was never informed about this. Besides, no apologies, no effort to help, nothing. Really terrible.

Good people to deal with. We shipped 30 cardboard boxes from San Francisco to Sydney. All arrived in good shape, and all the people we worked with in the various phases were both good at their job and very helpful. We will use them again, and recommend.

My experience with Schumacher was very unfortunate.

I dropped off my motorcycle to be shipped to Israel. They asked for documentation which I provided.
Then, they did nothing. Literally nothing. When I inquired about six weeks later as to why my bike hadn't shipped they said I needed an import permit. Firstly, I didn't. Secondly, they never asked for such a thing. I asked for some sort of compensation. There was none. The bike only shipped after sitting in their warehouse for two months.
The motorcycle did arrive safely. The battery was dead and there was no fuel for my to drive it away with, but who knows if this is normal.
In Israel, their shipping agent charged $450 dollars to 'unload' the bike and get some paperwork. The bike cost $1000 to ship so this was almost a 50% increase.
They hardly assisted me with any of the bureaucratic nightmare that ensued. I also had to pay an additional $200 dollars for storing the bike until customs would release it. Not to mention the costs of the multiple trips I had to make to the port.
I feel as if their shipping agent could have told me which paperwork I would need. I did pay them almost $450 dollars.

When I contacted Shumacher to complain about my experience they ignored me.

Stay far away.
