Review: I purchased two "Schwans Certificates" - for a grandchild's football team in Wisconsin. I went online to utilize these certificates an placed an order 0n 9/13/15. The total purchase was some $9.00 (and change)- over the value of the certificates. A credit card was entered for the difference. At no time was I ever notified that there was any problem or hold up with the order. By late October (I had even forgotten the order) - I contacted an online chat person ([redacted]) - who took the information and after a lengthy time time - advised she would look into it and get back to me - this never happened. I subsequently sent 2 emails - 11/3, and 11/10. Each time I received an automated response stating they would get back to me within 24 hours - did not happen the first time. Second time response was only to advise that their e-mail and chat options were not considered secure, and they could not/would not discuss anything in regard to my order . Not even to state card did not go through - you would have to go into account and redo order...does not give away any secure information. I am employed in the medical field - highly confidential matters addressed - and there are numerous options to assist patrons without violating confidentiality. The only remedy that was offered was that I would have to take time out of my schedule to place a call (had a friend try - and she was on hold for over 30 minutes). I do not choose to manage any matters by telephone - as I manage 3 positions as a medical provider - and simply do not have time. This is why I choose to shop online. I also consider telephone conversations as less secure. I would not have even made a purchase, were it not to support a grandchild out of state (who received some "nominal" prize for his efforts. I would much pref - and in the future will donate directly to the team - and not allow them to get some nominal monetary amount, on essentially worthless "gift certificates" (I have spoken to 3 other out of state family members who have also had trouble trying to get product for their monetary support). the amount of time and energy put into just the complaint process - I have now calculated that I could have sponsored a team member for an entier seanson. Schwans has failed to fulfill my order, failed to honor the coupons I purchased, FAILED to provide timely and appropriate customer service, fAILED to provide appropriate statements that would not violate confidentiality to rectify this matter. I am not able to take any more of my valuable time away from my patients to try and deal with such a poor quality business.Desired Settlement: I am seeking credit to the card that purchased the certificates - so that I may directly donate this money to the football team.
