***, This e-mail is in response to a letter that we received on 4/5/regarding the ID# in the subject line of this e-mailI will try to keep my response shortIn the Complaint Activity Summary letter it states under the Consumer’s Original Complaint section that the ductwork on the roof was
installed by Schwickert’sThat sentence is what I believe to be creating the concern that has led us to where we areSchwickert’s did not install that ductworkWe installed the roof and that roof has a warranty under the manufacturer CarlyleIf the ductwork were to leak at the point of roof curb when we set the ductwork on the curb then that could be under warranty(that is not the case though)There are very specific guidelines in the warranty of what is covered and what is notSnow/rain blowing through a sheetmetal intake hood are not covered therefore is billable workFrom what I am being told the customer was aware of what caused the water in the building; in fact, gave us a wet/dry vacuum to use to clean out the ductwork for themSo, by definition of the warranty this is not coveredThe letter states under the Consumer’s Desired Resolution that it seems as though Schwickert’s has an underhanded plan to collect money from customers without disclosing beforehand of what their policies areThis is unfortunate to read and gives me the understanding of a customer that has not read & understood their Carlyle warrantyI will also add that there was a service call back in March of in which we found an open curb corner and leaking water into the buildingWe repaired it right away and this work was covered under warranty Our invoice needs to be paid in fullIf the invoice is not received in full we will request to Carlyle to have the warranty removed so we don’t end up in this situation again Feel free to contact me if there are any further questions Thanks Derek *** | Director of Service | O: ###-###-#### | C: ###-###-#### | F: ###-###-#### Schwickert’s Tecta America LLC *** *** *** | Mankato, MN

I am rejecting this response because:
I took every precaution I could think of to make it clear to Schwickert's Tecta America Of Mankato LLC, that only warranty work has been authorized. When I made the initial call to Schwickert's Tecta America Of Mankato LLC, I verified that the roof was under warranty. At no time while talking with Schwickert's Tecta America Of Mankato LLC during this initial call was it disclosed to me that there could be charges. When the technicians arrived, again, I verified that the warranty existed and at no time did they disclose to me that there could be charges. I did not ask, or hire the technicians to do any work that was not covered under the warranty. One of the technicians called me shortly before they arrived and told me that they just finished a job and they were coming through Albert Lea on their way to the next job and could they stop by and check out the leak. I said ok, but at no time during this call and during the conversation while the technicians were here did a Schwickert's Tecta America Of Mankato LLC, employee disclose to me that there could be chargesThe technicians were here for about to minutes tops. They asked me for a shop vacuum when they were here, so I got them oneI just wonder how many of Schwickert's Tecta America Of Mankato LLC, customers get bullied into paying for illegitimate service. There should have been disclosure. My position has not changed. I am requesting that Schwickert's withdraw any attempt to collect funds from *** *** *** *** because I made it clear to them that I did not authorize any work other than warranty work
