I am rejecting this response because: The couple that she is referring to passed us early on during the trip and therefore had no idea how far behind we were Yes, we did take longer than them but stayed well within the 5-hours that she told us it would take Also, we talked to the lady on the phone as we were finishing up and she told us to call back if the van was not there When we called back she did not answer over a 30-minute time period which, in my opinion, is unacceptable as a severe storm is hitting us The thing that is the most appalling is her excuse that the passenger who was drinking was not an employee Does it make it ok to allow drinking in the shuttle vans because he is a family friend? We deserve an apology for this and a promise to stop this drinking from ever happening again I can't imagine a family bringing their kids into a situation like that

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] It's obvious we will never get the apology we deserve from this business so we will end this dispute They will continue to make up excuses and not take blame We will just continue to warn friends and family about not going here I hope that you continue to monitor this business so that our experience does not happen to anyone else

On the date of July 26, these people along with
other people took the mile tripThis group did leave later than the other
groups insisting to
goI did let them go of them had groupons and we need to
full fill those trips. The mile can take to 1/hours to complete
but I always add time and say to hours if the customer stops along the way
I received a call from people that kayaked (at 4:15) the 8mile and they said
the other are right behind them and should be here when you pick us upWe
had already picked up the other earlierThese were the only people leftI
sent a driver stating the other are right behind these kayakersMy driver
went down picked up the waited for 15min after asking the he picked up if
it was okThe even picked dozen ears of corn out of the corn field waiting
He then came backWe were continuing to put people in the water on the 4mile
trip which has a put in up north 1/miles from our location until 5pmAt
5pm a rain shower came through at the office locationAt 5:I walked to my
home which is across from the canoe officeMy phone had voicemail calls 4:
and 4:from the peopleI answered a call at 5:and it was a female from
the group saying they had not been picked up and now it's rainingI said what
do you mean you weren't picked up? And what can I do about the rain? She said
they were in the garage of the owner of the property.I hung up and see the 1st
van coming back to the canoe office with only people in it. I then
called the other driver that was up north putting in people for the mile
That's miles to drive to go pick them upI don't know the time they were
picked upI know my phone log shows calls from 4:to 5:from these
peopleIt was upsetting that they weren't picked up with the 1st van and
causing us to send another one to pick them upI think they were upset because
they were caught in the rainI explain to each and every group that this trip
requires them to be picked up and may take time while we are running the other
trips up northThe people that do the mile trip are avid canoers and
kayakers and clearly this group was notAs for the person in the passenger
seat, he was not an employee and he was visiting our familyWe've been in business
since the late "70s" and we receive very few complaints
