Scioto Locksmith

I called Scioto Locksmith address 331 W Bridge St, Dublin OH from their ad I found in a google search which mentions multiple times how low their rates are. I was looking for a local company and I called 2 days ahead of time to schedule someone to come out because my front door lock didn't work. I was not given an estimate over the phone. A technician texted me and said he was on his way on the day of my appointment. He asked me to send him a picture of the lock so he would make sure he had a replacement if needed. The technician came in an unmarked car and a white tshirt - no identification which kind of worried me. He started working on the lock and said he couldn't repair it so he drove across town to get the replacement, came back and was done in a little over an hour. When he was finished he apologized that he was supposed to give me an estimate first and he didn't want me to "think he was screwing me over" and then handed me a bill for $220 with $170 for labor. The company name on the bill was Speedy. I felt like that was way overpriced but the work was done so I guess I did get "screwed over" and I paid it. I called Scioto Locksmith back to complain because the technician was sent from a city that was an hour away. I talked to the rudest woman I have ever encountered in customer service. She wouldn't let me talk to a manager. I called back and got someone else and was told he didn't even know his bosses name. So, I drove to the shop to talk to someone. But instead of a locksmith shop, the address was a Chinese restaurant. Then on top of it all, my credit card was billed by a company name Reliable. I learned my lesson but want to warn others of this bait and switch tactic. Avoid Scioto Locksmith, Speedy Locksmith, and Reliable Locksmith and only get work done by a business that you have been referred to!
