First I would like to say, I am proud that I have not had any issues in the last years of business, I take pride in my work and how my customers are treatedI had done work for Mrs***, I have in her email, that yes, she was a friend of my friends and yes, I cut a large break on cost of remodel, and yes she was very happy with all of my work, after I did jobs at her house, she asked me about a insurance leak in her powder room, I quoted her and her inscompany for a complete remodel, she took it from there with her insurance company, when it was time to do her 1/bath, she changed the scope of work, instead of remodeling, she now wanted to remove a toilet, repair and install a floor, and pain, So that's what I didShe was Happy with everything I did !!!! (in a recent email) so when she started emailing me about paperwork, I called her several times, to ask "what do you need ???" She would not pick up the phone and emailed demanding a work report, (I suspected that she took a check from inscofor full bath and they wanted to see if it was completed) at that point I wasn't sure what to do, thinking she was in some kind of trouble and trying to blame something on myselfThat is the business end of thisNow for the personal, Her neighbor Kenny Fcalled me and asked Scott, My girlfriend needs a work done, she doesn't have enough $$ so can you cut her a break, as a friend I said yes, I did the work, she was happy, then months later she's calling me saying she needs paperwork to re-finance her house, again, the phone call with no answer and what was friend thing turned into a strict business email demanding paperworkNow regarding paperwork, I had an old Dell computer with Windows since I started business, everything In my records was kept in that computer, a few months ago, the computer crashed, It was a black screen everything stopped supporting the computer, I explained this to her in an email, but at the same time, I was thinking, Why do I have anything to do with Her refinancing her house ??? that wasn't part of my job ??? So there you have The whole truth and nothing but the truth, I will do whatever you would like me to do regarding this matter, I can come up with a very close work report, but I will do as advised !!! Here is the email as you will see from her response, I ask her to have financial or anyone call me and I will send them what they needI also will include an email stating that she changed the scope of work in the powder room regarding her possibly overcharging her ins From: [redacted] < [redacted] >Sent: Monday, May 2, 8:PMTo: Scott BradySubject: Re: itemized work report Hi, Thank you for responding I am so glad that you remember the work that you did on my house (main bathroom, powder room, living room, dining room) This will make it so much easier then Instead of getting phone calls to vouch for everything that you did for my house, please write down everything that you would say to the people calling you That will be much easier in the long run for both of us, as I can just use that paperwork (on your letter head) stating what was done Unfortunately at this time, I have nothing to document anything that you did in my house Using the checks (I wrote you a personal check as well as gave you cash - this doesn't reflect actual work, only payment) only reflects that I paid you, it does not reflect all of the work that you did I want to make sure that you, as well as myself, is represented in this matter I just want to make sure that everything is documented on my house, reflecting any upgrades or changes that have been done I understand that you did me a great favor, and worked on a lot of my house that I might not have gotten done (you helped me tremendously at your prices that you offered) I do appreciate that However, there is nothing in writing to reflect the work that you did I never got an invoice or work report from you, even though I had asked last year I unfortunately did not follow up consistently to make sure that I did receive this Please send the work report to this email I look forward to hearing from you Again, thanks for the work that you did, and thank you in advance for your cooperation to show in writing that you did work on my house and what was done [redacted] From: Scott BradySent: Tuesday, May 3, 12:PMTo: ***Subject: Re: itemized work report One final thing I wanted to note, after I sent your inscompany an estimate, and you got the check, you declined to have the scope of work completed on your bathroom, and only had 1/of the work doneREMEBER, because I do, and you were the one who received any and all checks !!! Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   While reviewing the work report, I did notice errors, such as address, amount of the project ($), dates of work provided, all the work that was completed, etc...  However, since I was only asking for a reflection of what work was accomplished (not what was not done, not the amount, not the dates of the work completed, etc..), I am willing to accept it at this time for the basic information.  If needed I will attach copies of accurate information to help reflect what work was completed (such as copies/receipts of checks).  Please allow me to reach out as needed to correct any errors/mistakes on this current draft of a work report.

Hi,
Thank you for responding.
I am so glad that you remember the work that you did on my house (main bathroom, powder room, living room, dining room).  This will make it so much easier then.
Instead of getting phone calls to vouch for everything that you did for my house, please write down everything that you would say to the people calling you.  That will be much easier in the long run for both of us, as I can just use that paperwork (on your letter head) stating what was done.
Unfortunately at this time, I have nothing to document anything that you did in my house.  Using the checks (I wrote you a personal check as well as gave you cash - this doesn't reflect actual work, only payment) only reflects that I paid you, it does not reflect all of the work that you did.  I want to make sure that you, as well as myself, is represented in this matter.  I just want to make sure that everything is documented on my house, reflecting any upgrades or changes that have been done.
I understand that you did me a great favor, and worked on a lot of my house that I might not have gotten done (you helped me tremendously at your prices that you offered).  I do appreciate that.  However, there is nothing in writing to reflect the work that you did.  I never got an invoice or work report from you, even though I had asked last year.  I unfortunately did not follow up consistently to make sure that I did receive this.
Please send the work report to this email.
I look forward to hearing from you.  Again, thanks for the work that you did, and thank you in advance for your cooperation to show in writing that you did work on my house and what was done.

One final thing I wanted to note, after I sent your ins. company an estimate, and you got the check, you declined to have the scope of work completed on your bathroom, and only had 1/3 of the work done. REMEBER, because I do, and you were the one who received any and all checks !!! You did not want to take walls out, you did not want to repair floor, you did not want to insulate, or frame. F.Y.I. any and all dealings in any money were between you and ins. Good Luck !!! My bid and estimate were for the right way to complete that job.  You changed the scope of work.
