Scott Day General Contracting

First and foremost, Scott Day General Contracting is the name of my business. This consumer who filed this complaint is my mother. I was a licensed contractor, my license expired in June of 2020 and I did not renew it because I had to close my business due to COVID. At the time that I did this project for my mother, I was living there with my fiancée. In the city of St. Joe, residents can perform small duties on their house without permits. I did have a business license. On the statement from my mother, she is getting a copy of the file. My taxes were extended due to COVID and they were completed in the first week of October and they will be delivered to her house by my lawyer. She says I was paid for material, I was not. My mother had an open credit account with *** of St. Joe. That is her bill, not mine. She has never given me money for any material. She wrote every check to ***. I cannot contact my mother because since June, my mother and sister have began harassing myself and my wife to the point that my wife is filing a restraining order against them and has probably cause to do so because they are threatening her. She will need to hire someone else to do the job and that is her problem not mine. I was not paid for my labor. My company spent more than $10,000 in donations to help with this project so I am in the whole. My taxes show that I have a $12,000 loss because I was not paid.
