Scott Electric completed the finish on this house on this Feb 2015, our warranty is only for year We replaced the A/C whip once already, now at the end of November he notices that is has pulled off again and his home is out of warranty period by almost yearsWell the Project Manager for
the builder went by and took a picture, behind the A/C unit is an outlet There appears to be a timer for something (christmas lights) plugged into the outlet Our guess is that when they plugged into the outlet, they may have tripped on the A/C whip pulling it loose. We have been in business in JOCO since 1972, we do over 50+ rough-in/finish of new home construction a year and this is the only house we have had a problem with Home owner says the wires are shrinking, they are made for exterior and shrinking is not a possibility, however if pulled on can come loose We are more than happy to take care of warranty items within the first year, sometimes a month or two after depending on what the issue is However, we believe this is too far outside the warranty time and caused by someone or something pulling not the whip and therefore we will not be doing work for free. Please let us know if you have any questions.Karen G***Co-Owner Scott Electric, [email protected]

I am rejecting this response because: I am done with arguing back and forth over this.  I would not want this company back to my house to even fix this problem at this point. I will hire someone else to do the work. An ethical company would've addressed this when I called, and fixed their warranty work that should have been corrected the first time. I hope record of ths complaint remains public so others will think twice before hiring them.  Also, maybe Scott Electirc will think back to this and help someone else down the road without rushing to judgement and mistreating people when they are just customers who expected quality work.

The A/C whip comes in 2 lengths we do not cut them, they come in either 3' or 6' and can not be any longer per code.

I am rejecting this response because:They claim the conduit or whip as they called it was replaced once, it NEVER was.  They came out in the Spring and pulled it tight again and secured it to the house, and assured my wife who was home it wouln't be a problem again.  We feel it was initially cut too short and doesn't give any room for even the slightest of movement.  We noticed the wires were exposed before even attaching Christmas lights onto the house, but did notice this had happened again while over there doing it.  We didn't even move into the house until May 2015, so we were instructed that our one year warranty began at that time.  That is why they came this past spring (6 months ago) to look at it and supposedly fixed it by pulling tight again.  However, it's come loose again.  If they don't feel like fixing the job that should've been corrected in the spring by attaching a longer piece then I guess we once again will have to fix something with this new house on our own correctly!!!!  I feel that this should have been an easy fix,but instead we've been treated unfairly and really just with no respect from this company.  I called the company with a positive atttitude and was surprised how I was immediatley just told they wouldn't fix anything.
