Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:As stated in the beginning of the complaint, the issue on the drycleaning has not changedThe answer from the Company is a template answer and the issue of homeowner doing what we were told to do is still not addressedIf I was not there and did not actually hear what was stated, then there would be a potential of a misunderstandingObviously, the Company is going to go with the "he said, she said" pathIt should be "he said, they heard".Since the comment is not going to be owned up to, what is the proper protocol for a reputable business? If you go into a house that is clean to perform do-overs, do you clean up after yourselves? If you go in and change the filter because of the amount of dust that was in the air, you pay for a cleaning lady to clean the dust off of the furniture, isnt that consistent with the statement that our clothes will be cleaned of the dust as well?

I am rejecting this response because:Since the issue of the drycleaning bill is attached to the whole process of finishing the house, we can't accept the responseThe whole premise of the complaint was (1) to get our house completed and right, and (2) to get reimbursed for what was promised. The fact that we are still having this discussion baffles meOur timeline that is put together is quite extensive and shows error after errorThis is going to be taken care of completely or we are not going to come to a resolution though this particular process

The homeowner has a list of what will be addressed within their home. Arrangements have been made for a 3rd party inspector to review two of the items, in order to give the homeowner complete assurance that the issues being discussed are cosmetic in nature. We will continue to respond to warranty requests in a timely and professional fashion, as we have been throughout the warranty period thus far.

I am rejecting this response because:There are not only 2 cosmetic issues remaining. This is just one subject. We are ok with having a 3rd party involved with an inspection to determine whether cosmetic or structural. There are additional items that the "business" is aware of in addition to this. A major issue is after total demo of our bathroom, all of our clothes were coated with dust from the tile that was dug up. We were told by project manager that we could take our clothes to be dry cleaned and Scott Felder would pay for which is the right thing to do. Scott Felder is now saying they will not and we need to deal with tile people. We bought the house from Scott Felder not the tile people.I have attached pics of the bathroom.

In response to the request for reimbursement for dry cleaning expenses.....The complainant states that an employee of SFH (our onsite superintendent) agreed that reimbursement would occur. This statement in not factually correct. What he said was something along the lines of "I'll see what we can do" or "I'll present them for consideration of approval". The key point is that our employee is adamant that he did not use phrasing to indicate that reimbursement was guaranteed or already approved. The complainant proceeded with dry cleaning various items without awaiting clear approval.Further, some of the receipts submitted were absent the name of the dry cleaner, and some were absent the date. Others had dates that preceded the date that the work occurred within the home that the complainant asserts was the cause for the need for the dry cleaning. The actual total amount of dry cleaning involved in this claim is nowhere near the amount the complainant alleges, even IF the event had unfolded in such a way that we would be willing to consider reimbursement. In light of the above, we are not offering reimbursement. ?

I am rejecting this response because: Totally disagree with statements. First, in regards to the project manager/contstruction manager saying that drycleaning will be covered: There was a 3rd individual in the house that also heard him say this. He also proceeded to say that this has happened before and SF picked up the drycleaning bill as well.He also stated, that for us to take the bedroom rug into the cleaners as well as it will be covered. The receipts are accurate and the cleaners is Comet Cleaners and the dates are accurate. Not sure of how much a lie detectors test is, but may be an option.

Good Afternoon,  There are only 2 cosmetic issues remaining to be assessed and addressed. We will be scheduling a 3rd party inspector to assess these two items in order to give complete assurance that the issues are truly only cosmetic in nature. If you have any further questions, feel free to...
