Great contractor
Goes above and beyond to exceed the customers expectations and finishing the job in a great timely and cost effective mannor

We've used Infinity Roofing on our home in Anniston a few years ago. We have had several leaks causing us to repaint many of our ceilings.
They have been out to correct the situation several times but to no avail.
We had a professional look at the roof who found the roof to have incorrectly installed. Vents cut too large causing leaks throughout the second floor. Instead of cutting the vent stacks correctly, Infinity chose to fill them with roofing tar which has cracked allowing more water to come into the home. Our last call to Infinity was ignored and the leaks continue. We have hired a professional roofer to correct the issues left behind from Infinity.

They were hired to build a laundry room. The roof leaks when it rains.
The roof leaks when it rains. Evidently they did not nail the shingles down because you can blow the shingles up with a leaf blower. I also wonder if they nailed the plywood down and put felt on it.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking the cost of having the roof replaced because it is only a few months old.

this customer is know to me due to previous work for him-we were hired to enclose back porch 8x8 the scope was three outside walls with framing of door and window and a flat top per customers design-it was a concern about the pitch of the roof-customer inform me if it did leak he would put on a metal roof-customer was present during entire build as he had built on to majority of his home and it was his design-he informed me to go get a door and window and he would pay for it -he did not pay for it -being a customer I knew I did not press him on issue as I was just out there to help him out-
the next day it rained and he said there was a leak -i came there and seal the old roof to the new 9-18-17 -with a lot more rain storms I never was contacted by customer until approx 12-21-17
he called and said he had finished inside of building with drop ceiling and sheetrock not long after we completed framing and in december 20 it had leaked and he demanded 400.00 dollars -i told him I would come and see why it was leaking and reminded him about our conversation when he designed top of the possibility the pitch was not steep enough-he informed me I was not to come over and I was going to pay him 400.00 dollars or he was going to sue me-i informed him that if thats what he thought he should -then go for it -i thanked him again for his business and wished him a merry christmas
as this is the very first complaint I have every received I know that every possible concession was made to this customer-if indeed he feels the need to sue me .we will be filling countersuit for the money he actually owes for the work-window-door and change in siding put on building

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This business was hired to ENCLOSED the porch including the door and window which was included in the price. The siding they wanted to use did not match the rest of the house and that is why it had to be changed. It did leak several days later after a blowing rain and the owner did come out but did not find a problem. The next timed there was a blowing rain it leaked again. The owner did caulk the roof. Everything was ok until the next blowing rain when it leaked again. If it leaking when there is a blowing rain are the shingles nailed down. When I called the owner he did not offer to come out and hung up on me. That is when I called him back and ask for $400 to fix the roof. The $ 400.00 is the cost for replacing the shingles. There has never been an issue with the other roof that the owner mentions in his answer. There are other issues with the work they did but I am only asking for the price that it will cost to fix the roof

The issue here is about the leaking roof and not the door and window which was included in the price. The company accepted payment and did not mention anything about owing for it. The company is trying to blame their leaking roof on the existing roof and that the roof they built is flat. First I had the other roof inspected and it is fine. Second the roof they built is not flat. It is a 2-12 pitch which is a legal roof. Third the company did not follow my design. They threw the template that I gave them for the rafters in the trash and made their own pattern. The rafters were not cut correctly. The issue is that they only ran the moisture barrier a half of inch under the existing roof. Also the shingles are 3 dimensional but they were put on as the standard 3 tab shingle. They did not follow the manufactures instructions. Also they only put 2 nails in a lot of the shingles were instructions call for 4 nails in each shingle. It cost me $ 2100 dollars to have both roof inspected and to repair their work. I still seeking a refund of some of my money back.

I am perplexed at this last statement -it is very clear as to why we have not been able to resolve this complaint-first off, it is not even plausible to believe that a job that this customer only paid 1300.00 including material and labor, now claims he had to pay out 2100.00 for repairs-the roofs total dimensions were approximately 9 ft x 9 ft total cost to replace shingles according to industry standard would have been 185.00 per square (10 ft x 10 ft)-the statement about the pitch of the roof again is another gross misinformation or total lack of knowledge (inside dimensions of the room is approximately 8 ft x 8 ft )according to customers statement ,if it was factually correct, the ceiling at the front wall inside (window side) would be approximately 6 ft 4 inches and the roof on the outside edge of roof would be only 5 ft 8 inches-the actual height at the front wall was 7 ft 9 and a half inches -this calculates out a 2 and a half inch drop total spread out over a 9 ft roof which translates to a totally flat roof, when calculating roof pitch to obtain a 2 and a half pitch which is considered a flat roof -the fall of the roof is 2 and a half inch drop per a foot, which in this customer roof would have been a total drop of approximately 27 inches, I have been in business a long time and have always strove to please my customers and up til this customer I have been able too,In order to come to some concession with any person, first off -truth of facts is paramount-understanding is second -willingness to accept responsibility is third-civility is forth -without these there is only self serving rhetoric-and this is why the possibility of finding a reasonable conclusion or concession seems to be at such a state of stalemate
