Passport Nissan obtained authorization from the owner prior to road testing the vehicle for the purpose of diagnostic testing and verification of repairsThe repair order also states "I hereby grant you and/or your employees permission to operate the vehicle herein described on streets, highways or elsewhere for the purpose of testing and/or inspection."Passport Nissan will continue to stand by the repairs made to the vehicle and honor the month / 12,mile warranty that is included with any and all repairsIf in fact the check engine light has returned we request that the vehicle be brought back to the dealership for further testing at no cost to the owner

This vehicle arrived to Passport Nissan initially on February 12th, 2016 at which time the vehicle was diagnosed as needing the cylinder head gasket replaced to correct a check engine light concern. The owner was given an estimate of $3977.62 which was declined. The vehicle returned on February...

16th with the approval for repairs. The repairs were completed and the vehicle returned to the owner on February 20th.On March 7th, 452 miles later, the customer returned again with a concern of the check engine light being on. The diagnostic test of the vehicle at this time revealed that the cause was the ignition coils which had to be removed to perform the repairs to the cylinder head gasket. Due to these components being 7 years old, and now having been removed and reinstalled Passport agreed to replace these parts at no additional cost to the owner. In order to verify that the repairs now made were complete Passport asked the owner for approval to road test the vehicle which the owner agreed to allow. During this road testing, the technician was involved in an accident which caused minor damages to the rear bumper. Passport promptly advised the owner of the situation at which time the owner chose to pick-up the vehicle from Passport to have another repair shop inspect the body damage. The customer then decided to bring the vehicle back to Passport to have the Passport Collision Center repair the vehicle. Once the vehicle was at the collision center the customer was also given the option to make additional body repairs that were unrelated to the accident. The owner felt this was the responsibility of Passport, however due to these additional recommendations not being any fault of Passport Nissan this request was declined.Passport will continue to stand behind the engine repairs that were performed and the 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty that is provided with these repairs. However, as the owner stated in the conclusion of the complaint, the check engine light has not returned, therefore repairs are complete.Thank you.

convertible top due to the top not having the properly amount of
room inside to operate. Mr. [redacted] was advised at that time that a
proper and thorough repair would involve replacement of the entire
convertible top assembly, however we could attempt a partial repair
by replacing only the damaged hinges for a cost of $3290.62. (Ref;
invoice#[redacted])Mr. [redacted]
returned February 20th, 2016 and agreed to the repair
attempt vs. a complete top replacement. This repair was performed and
the following documentation is printed on the invoice that was signed
prior to payment of the repair: “found rear hinges bend and
replaced, also replaced rear lock lid assembly for not opening….
Told customer that when opening top after first pushing the switch,
it will stop from motor being weak from damaged hinges, must push
lightly and will open fine.” (Ref; invoice# [redacted])Passport [redacted] has
been completely forthcoming with the extent of the repairs and
advised Mr.[redacted] of the options prior to the second visit to
perform any repairs to the vehicle.

[redacted] was contacted by the Service Manager, Glenn M[redacted] to discuss a solution. [redacted] was offered a full refund with the removal of the new parts and the installation of the old parts, or the additional recommended repairs to make the vehicle correct, leave the already replaced...

parts on the vehicle and a refund of $600.00 of labor. [redacted] decided that we remove the new parts, install the old parts and a full refund.
