I took my twins for their well check visit which is supposed to be covered 100% by insurance. The clinic billed me for 4 separate visits after seeing the doctor for 15 minutes. The service date was ***. I was charged a total of $*** for my twins? uncomplicated well check. Insurance has already paid them $*** (each child's well check was billed at ***) and the clinic is trying to collect an additional $*** for the visit ($*** per child). I don't believe that I should have to pay 4 times for the same visit and I have attempted to work this out with the billing office but they keep saying they will look into it and will not return phone calls. They are now sending my account to collections and it is affecting my credit score.

The care that was provided to this family was appropriate and medically necessary. Nonetheless, in an effort to amicably resolve this matter, Children's Physicians (CP) has agreed to write off the charges as requested by the family. CP does not believe that it filed any documentation with a collection agency; however, we are still looking into this.
