We received a written notification in regards to a complaint made to the Revdex.com from [redacted], a mother of a current tenant.  Below is the response in regards to the complaints made.  The below information is recounted by Amanda H[redacted], Property Manager.  Amanda...

will only be with the company a few more weeks and I am the person taking over as Property Manager.  [redacted] is a current resident at our [redacted] [redacted] location. [redacted] signed a lease with the dates of 1-29-2016 to 8-7-2016, with the lease expiring at noon on 8-7-2016. Her current apartment was rented to a future tenant, prior to this date, in November of 2015. Had [redacted] expressed a need at the time for a longer lease, we could have made accommodations to relocate the incoming tenant to a different unit in the building. However, [redacted] did not request a renewal until June-at that time all units at this location were leased for the upcoming year. It is common practice in Bloomington, as most college towns, to start leasing for the upcoming year as early as October. Pavilion Properties did contact [redacted], along with everyone who's lease was ending in the building, to ask if she planned to move early. Many incoming tenants are requesting early move in dates, and we try to accommodate this, if the current tenant plans to leave early (in exchange for a prorated rental credit.)   As a solution, we offered [redacted] the option to move to an apartment located just 2 blocks from her current address. The rent would have been the same as her current agreement, and we offered to transfer her deposit  to the new location. [redacted] never set up a time to view this location. Lastly, it is company policy that deposits are never returned until after the lease end date, and after a move out inspection is conducted. Per state compliance, Pavilion Properties returns deposits, minus any damages, within 45 days of this date to the forwarding address supplied. Deposits will not be returned early. Per tenant laws, the lease serves as notice of termination date. In this case the contract ends on 8-7-2016. Pavilion Properties is not attempting to terminate [redacted]'s lease before this date. Thank you for your time and please let me know if you need further information. Sincerely, -- Alexandria L[redacted] Property Manager Pavilion Properties 112 E. 3rd St. Bloomington, IN 47401 812-333-2332 www.pavprop.com
