I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have read MrScotts letterYes I was on the site and specified where I wanted the survey post placed on the landThat is not where he put markersI did not complain earlier because I did not know the markers were in a different place than I specifiedThe survey was to be as close to the existing fence as possibleThat is not what MrScott didI wanted the lines moved to where they should have been to begin withI was requesting he correct HIS mistakeSimple and plain,he did not do his job correctly.Sincerely, Ms [redacted]

The field work in question was done for this client on January 6, The purpose of the project was to sub-divide a small building lot from the southeast corner of a tract which she owned She was on the site when we began and specified the location of all new corners at that time
Pipes were set at all new corners, a plat was prepared and she was invoiced for the job No complaints were made at that time and the bill was paid in full The survey was used to convey the new tract to a family member. The first contact with this client regarding a complaint was approximately six weeks ago I spoke with her at length on two occasions and was unable to satisfy her demands She informed me that her son was suppose to build a fence along the new lines after the property was conveyed to him He has failed to do this since the completion of the survey She has now requested that I change the lines at no cost to her to follow an old existing fence She is not requesting that I correct a mistake She is requesting that I create a new survey in a different location at no additional cost.DJeffrey Scott PLS

I have read Mr. Scotts letter. Yes I was on the site and specified where I wanted the survey post placed on the land. That is not where he put markers. I did not complain earlier because I did not know the markers were in a different place than I specified. The survey was to be as close to the existing fence as possible. That is not what Mr. Scott did. I wanted the lines moved to where they should have been to begin with. I was requesting he correct HIS mistake. Simple and plain,he did not do his job correctly.Sincerely, Ms. [redacted]

Review: Scoot surveyor did not put the survey stakes where I specified. Neither did he show me where he did put the stakes or inform me of the difference. I trusted him to do his job and paid him. The deed was recorded with the wrong information on the plot. I have called him and he says he can do nothing about it. I want the stakes where I showed him to put them Or not at all.Desired Settlement: I want the land resurveyed at not further cost to me and stakes put where I specified the first time.

The field work in question was done for this client on January 6, 2012. The purpose of the project was to sub-divide a small building lot from the southeast corner of a tract which she owned. She was on the site when we began and specified the location of all new corners at that time. Pipes were set at all new corners, a plat was prepared and she was invoiced for the job. No complaints were made at that time and the bill was paid in full. The survey was used to convey the new tract to a family member. The first contact with this client regarding a complaint was approximately six weeks ago. I spoke with her at length on two occasions and was unable to satisfy her demands. She informed me that her son was suppose to build a fence along the new lines after the property was conveyed to him. He has failed to do this since the completion of the survey . She has now requested that I change the lines at no cost to her to follow an old existing fence. She is not requesting that I correct a mistake. She is requesting that I create a new survey in a different location at no additional cost.D. Jeffrey Scott PLS
