It was only after my visit to the home that I realized my huge error in trusting this contractorI live in California and promptly paid statements from contractor as I trusted him to be performing competent workContractor used incompetent employees to paint propertyThere was no "cutting in" and
paint was on ceilings, switch plates, baseboards, socket covers I was advised ion the statement I received the painting was complete, yet in a following estimate I was to be charged AGAIN for "touch up of painting." Contractor used incompetent workers, charging me $p/h and employee told me he rec'd $p/hThis employee was paid, according to statement I promptly paid, $1,which I should have been charged $at the rate he was paid, and another charge for this worker I paid was $when worker was paid only $by contractorContractor did not use drop cloths and damaged parquet floor which had to be cleaned and refinished at my additional expenseI will need to replace the new floating flooring due to trusting the contractors color choiceHe REPEATEDLY assured me that the new granite counter top would blend the different floorings and cabinets though I kept responding that I was unsure of this color choiceAs it turned out when I viewed the property there were many other colors that he could have selected that would have been more appropriateContractor over charged me for worker to remove debree and yard work, burn small tree refuse, take to curb, when it was supposed to be a "trade off" to allow this homeless worker to reside on premises during remodelContractor also charged me $for this workers groceries and BEER though I said this was unacceptableThis is a non-smoking property and contractor and workers were drinking shots and smoking in the interior of the residenceWhen a worker I had hired separately advised contractor of this the worker was bullied and basically ignoredI was charged for paint for the garage, however contractor did not complete this project, therefore I did not pay for completion by contractor and had it painted by a competent painterI was charged for items purchased by contractor and then returned to store for cash or credit which the contractor pocketedI never saw receipts for purchases or returns, just statements from contractorI was told by of contractors employees that he takes a cut of all employees pay that he bills to customerDuring this project the contractor suffered with high blood pressure and legal issuesI took that into consideration when the project was delayed several weeksSince this is a rental property I lost money due to this delay as I could not advertise it on the rental marketI'm sure I can add to this complaint but this certainly should be a good jumping off pointThank you, *** ***

These are all statements with many unknown circumstances pertaining to the job. Client asked me to deceive her Insurance company in hopes of getting reimbursed on a claim. Many of her requests and costs where at the beginning of the job in "staging" the residence to meet this insurance claim. It did not workAlso I was not hired to "Paint" anything in the house...Clients son was supposed to do that which he was unable to do. I spent a very low amount of time simply "quick Painting" what we could to make it "rental ready"...and I knew we were under a tight budget. So the painting was not real satisfactory. We had major expense with all of the Main repairs and remodeling. We sent daily pictures of all the work as it progressed, all the Material choices, styles, and Color...client was happy and approved of all the decisions before these items progressed.Other notes:1) Yes I make a small amount of money off my workers...That is BUSINESS....do not understand the complaint there. I supervised all of my workers. I add anywhere from $to $per hour on my workers for billing...that is nothing compared to other contractors in my field.2) "Pocketing money for material Returns" is an absurd statement. I have billings that show the client all of the returns on her billing.3) The original Reason all this work started was because of numerous waterline breaks in the house that happened prior to my arrival. The reason for these line breaks was due to heating system not functioning, turned off, set too low, etc...during the December of 2017. I came into a disaster...and was asked to repair the home and get it "rental ready"...along with many other upgrades to the house requested by the client *** ***.4) The "beer" and "smoking" statements are absurd too. Yes, my employee who was asked to "live" there during the Insurance staging, bought beer, food, coffee pot, chair, etc...to make it seem like he "lived there"....which was a requirement for the Insurance company deceptionso yes, I billed the client for that initial "staging" amount, which was under $
