Review: I brought my car to Scott Tire for a free diagnostic. There was an electrical issue that I wanted to be diagnosed which they said is free. The next day they called and told me it was "shorts from the air compressor, and harnesses needed replacement" and it would cost $745 - (including 2 hours labor at $100 per hour).

I was highly skeptical that the issue he said was the cause of the problem so I told him on the phone that I would like my car back. They were closing soon so he said he would leave the keys in the car parked out on the street in front of the shop.

When I got there and looked in the car I saw they had left the cover off the cars computer and other panels were not placed back the way they should be, and there was dirt/mud in the car smeared along the drivers foot-well and on the outside of the car.

I then walked around to the passenger side and saw a big deep scratch (approx 5 feet long) in the side of the car.

When I tried to drive the car to go home as soon as I pulled away it stalled. I made several more attempts at driving the car home but in the end I had to call to have a flat-bed tow the car back home.

Their explanation is that the car deteriorated as they worked on it (but made no mention of this on the phone - I fully expected to drive the car back home, as the car was in working condition when I brought it there) and they said they know nothing about the scratch.

I would also like to mention that I have been to Scott Tire previously to have two rear tires installed and also another time for an oil change. I thought they were good honest people that I could trust not to abuse my car.Desired Settlement: Pay to have the scratch repaired would be a good start.
