Review: I had booked with Chateau B[redacted] as my wedding venue in late 2014. I had put a deposit down of $1000 and signed a contract. My wedding date was to be 4/**/2016. In early 2015 after I called off my engagement and cancelled with Chateau. I was told by my booking manager, that once my date is booked by someone else I will be able to get my full deposit back.

I stayed in touch with him throughout 2015 to see if the date had been booked yet, my usual response was “I will check and get back to you”. After being told this multiple times I grew frustrated and by late 2015 I called the venue and asked if 4/**/2016 was available for booking. I was told that date, and that weekend, was completely booked. I emailed booking manager back and told him that according to my phone call it was booked and when can I receive my refund. He told me he would work on getting the refund to me, but then came back to say that procedure calls for the date of the event to pass until I get my refund. Honestly, I don’t see the reason why I have to wait for the event date to pass since the date has been re-booked by someone else, therefore I should no longer be liable. There is nothing in my contract that says if I cancel and the date is rebooked that I will have to wait for the date to pass. As of now the company is holding my deposit, and the deposit of the new booker for liability, which makes no sense to me and does not seem fair since I was told something different from the beginning.

My booking manager had promised me that he will go against procedure and get my refund to me ASAP. For the past few months he keeps saying the office is sending out the refund and I should receive it in the mail. I never received anything and I keep emailing him every week asking where is the refund. I feel like they are lying to me and giving me the run around which is very frustrating. I just was my deposit back, which is my money that is rightfully mine. Please help me solve this issue.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to receive my full deposit back with a sense of urgency. I do not wish to wait for the date of the event to pass since this was not in my contract.

Review: Long Island valet service neglected to lock my doors and another patron doors after parking at Château Briand when retrieving the car at the end of the party several items was stolen out of my car and another patrons.The cop told us it was because they did not lock the car. There was no forced entry now I have to go to small claims court because the [redacted] is claiming he is not going to pay for any thing missing. While standing next to the cop [redacted] said just bring the receipts and I'll take care of it once we did he said he's not paying. He'd rather take his chances at smalls claims court.Desired Settlement: 1894.80 digital camera, video camera, shoes, compartment with sunglasses all stolen
