Father's Day brunch is extremely busy with many reservations made months in advance. Mr. [redacted] made a reservation too late to accommodate his size of party, with no mention of a disability issue until after his arrival, at which time he demanded to take over another reservation's table, which...

would have been inappropriate. The Manager was not able to move M. [redacted]'s party from their assigned table(s). If we at Scott's have enough notice of special needs, we always do our best to take care of those needs, but on a day like Father's Day every table is strictly accounted for and any disruption can end in chaos and bad service for all of our guests. We apologize if we made Mr. [redacted] unhappy, as it is our goal to please all of our guests to the best of our ability.

Review: On 6/21/2015 my family arrived at Scott's Seafood on the River for father's day brunch. We made the reservation the previous month, requesting seats outside. Upon arrival we informed the hostess that our son Benito is autistic with sensory issues based on his disability and wish to be seated outside. The hostess and assistant manager informed our family that they could not give us the table outside as requested. A few minutes after arriving at the table inside the waitress informed me that other customers made complaints about my son and asked if he could keep it down. I let the waitress know that was exactly the reason why I requested the table outside on the patio. The waitress said I should let management know so they can make accommodations. I told her that I already informed them and was denied. The table outside, we were denied, was still available more than 30 minutes after we had arrived. The assistant manager was rude, inconsiderate, and displayed no compassion for a family with a child with special needs.Desired Settlement: Training for staff on autism, have rules posted for seating, designated place for sensory customers, refund and apologize.
