They killed my beloved cat! I was bringing my cat to their clinic a couple of times a month because my cat's ear had a growth that was oozing a vile smelling [redacted] fluid. I gave them thousands of dollars to keep my cat cleaned up until my family could raise the money for his surgery. He was placed under anesthesia successfully one month before his death to have a portion of the growth cut out and tested. The results were that it was NOT cancerous. My cat would be just fine after the growth was removed. He spent his last weeks miserable living day and night with the lamp shade around his neck until the dreadful day I decided to take him in for his operation and little did I know he would never come home. One hour after I dropped him off I received a phone call that my cat passed away during surgery.That he suffered a heart attack. My belief is that they over dosed my cat and killed him. It took everything I had to come back into that office to view my babies lifeless body. The Dr. that killed my cat didn't even show his face to tell me he was sorry. Weeks later the Dr's office called and said his cremated body was ready to be picked up.They knew that my husband and I did not want to come in their office so they suggested they mail the remains to us. My husband said yes and you can send along any bill we may owe at that time as well. We NEVER received our cats remains nor have I ever seen a bill and today I get a letter in the mail that my bill is delinquent and they are going to send it to collections. The nerve of them! It was their responsibility to get the bill (if any) to me. I should not have to run to their establishment to pick it up. How was I to know they didn't wave the fees due to the fact that my cat never came home alive! I went through a traumatic event and they are insensitive to our family while mourning. I do not feel this company is qualified to care for animals or preform operations. I stress to anyone considering them as a Veterinarian please pick another more reliable doctor. They are horrible.

We have a Schnauzer that is approx. 9 years old who was taken to the Scottsdale Hills Animal Hospital since she was 6 months old. Annual check-ups, shots etc.

Had her teeth cleaned 4-5 years ago and did not see an issue. Took her in for her annual check up and no issues reported but they suggested to have her teeth cleaned. Got the call that nearly all her teeth had some kind of infection and nearly all her teeth had to be removed. Nearly 10 years of going to the what they now call the Anima; hospital (Dr. [redacted]) and not once did anyone say anything about a teeth issue. $2,000.00 later I now have a loved member of our family with nearly no teeth. What kind of Vet does this. What kind of Vet who can see how well cared for and loved this pet is, would not alert the owners of this significant of an issue. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE OR ITS DOCTORS. IT MAY NOT CROP UP IMMEDIATELY, BUT YOU WILL END UP WITH A SERIOS ISSUE ON YOUR HANDS DUE TO THEIR NEGLECT.
