Scout Plumbing Reviews (%countItem)

I am still having a leak Issue with a faucet in the hallway bathroom and also an Issue with the original price I was Initially quoted .
on 6/28/19 A plumber name George from Scout plumbing came out to look at a leaky faucet in the hallway bathroom . I was told that the faucet needed to be replaced and modifications would be needed for a proper fix . The quote given to me by him was in the amount of $225.00 dollars and after he applied a coupon from their company the entire charge would be $200.00 dollars for everything . I provided my own faucet brand new in the box had never been opened , he was shown this and said he would perform the service for $200.00 dollars and asked what day did I want him to come back out . I said on Tuesday 7/2/19 , he said he'd be out between 8am to 11am and would call 30 minutes to let me know he was on his way out . Upon arrival he saw what all was inside of the box which was the faucet and everything that goes with it the stopper etc . Once he got started working on it , he said by the way it will be an additional $185.00 dollars to put in the stopper that took me by total shock as I wasn't told this prior . I feel as if this is very deceptive and unethical and bad business practice . I paid with a credit card in the amount of $385.00 dollars for a job which still isn't fixed properly there's still water in and around where he was supposed to have done the modifications at . Once he left I discovered that there was water still leaking underneath , so I Immediately called Scout Plumbing and spoke with Lydia . I explained to her about the price Issue and also let her know the problem wasn't fixed there was still water in and around the pipes . George came back out and said that he failed to tightened it up and would do so right then . Well he wasn't in there but I say about 2 minutes and said he had to go to another appointment to fix a water heater . As me and my family used the water faucet thru out the day it continued to have water build up which I thought was fixed . I'm very disappointed in Scout Plumbing , and have no Intentions on having them come back out again making it a third time for something that wasn't done correct the first time . I was also assured by him that he knew exactly what the problem was and could fix it properly . He said that If I was to contact a handy man all they would do is just half do the job . I don't use handy men however now I am having second thought's cause he surely didn't fix the problem at all . The leak coming from the faucet was dripping little drops that wouldn't stop when the faucet was turned off . So , that is what prompted me to contact scout plumbing in the first place . I did not have any type of problems with water in and around my pipes underneath my sink until he did what he called modifications . I'm trying to be as clear and concise as I can possibly be in order to have this taken care of as soon as possible . Thanks so much

Desired Outcome

A refund to my credit card in the amount of $385.00 dollars is the resolution that I am seeking from Scout Plumbing . I'd like it to be handled ASAP , and I'd also like to speak with the owner of Scout plumbing so this won't happen to other customer's .

Customer has home warranty. Home warranty pays for us to install a new faucet only. Supply lines and angle valves needed to be changed for new faucet to be installed. Homeowner agreed to those charges before hand. Home owner wanted new pop up assembly installed as well, once we returned and she saw it was in the box with her new faucet. We gave her a quote and installed the new pop up assembly as per her request. Once again, her home warranty only covers for the part that needs to be replaced. The pop up wasn't failing and therefor not part of what the warranty is covering. Homeowner upset that drain pop-up assembly install fee was not included with faucet install. Explained that its two different components and her warranty only pays us to install the faucet. Any extra work is the homeowner's responsibility. The installed provided popup was a cheaper plastic pop up assembly and it did leak. We offered to go back at no additional charge and install better quality metal drain assembly after the second time it did not hold. She refused and only wanted full refund. She agreed to all pricing before we started (refer to signed attached invoice). We have before and after pics. We gladly would have went back to correct the leak she claimed she had, but she refused to let us come back. The voicemail of the conversation where she refused services is attached.

Subject: Horrible service

Attached, please find pictures of my Toilet bowl custom handle that your tech said was broken and threw it in my trash without my Consent and replaced it with a 2.00 chrome plate cheap handle. After asking the Sr Tech what he did with the old handle, he told me he put it in the trash and said the old one was broken. I wanted to see it because it was not anything wrong with the handle before he worked on it. He initially said that the bowl just needed a new flap. Your technician confirmed it was broken so I did not want to debate with him out of respect. I want to trust a service person's word without having to micromanage them.

After he and his junior tech left my premises, I went back and dug in the nasty trash again and found all of the parts that he took taken off of my toilet bowl. I reinstalled them and is fully functional. The least he could have done was tell me and show me the issue that he felt my handle was broken without me having to discover it that he had replaced it on my own.

The Sr Tech also rendered subpar work on my kitchen sink. He gave non supported advice to me about what the leaking issue was. His job was to isolate my water leak. He didn't put much effort into isolating the leak. He was also very confrontational with me as I was trying to provide my assessment of what the root cause could be and as I was trying explain what my warranty company had advised me what was included in the services.

Anyway, I will not EVER use your services again and that fellow that threw my handle in the trash before checking with me first needs to be fired!!! I will also report this to the Revdex.com.

I want a ZERO STARS. do not allow them in your home unless you are strong enough to not get ripped off!
Lazy, if you have Home warranty ask for another service company. They will not fix and try to charge for stuff you dont need!

They came to my house, installed a gas valve for my water heater... 40 minutes later my house was flooded. They admitted to not testing the unit before leaving, but they still assume no responsibility. I am now out my entire deductible and I had to pay them 700 dollars for a new hot water heater (Home warranty company made me use them,) because mine got compromised after it was overheated by the replaced part. I feel completely ripped off. Oh, and they broke the ladder to my attic and lied to my wife saying it wasn't installed properly, even though it is.
